Thread: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks

[QUOTE=phazonmutant;869239]GP Vancouver was a bust as far as playing Magic goes. Modern is such a farce. But that's fine, I got a chance to trade for a few cards:

Vintage > cube foils. Oh and get out of here Splinter Twins and Cryptic Commands, I'm not playing with you ever again.

I had a blast hanging out with sdematt and crew playing vintage. Matt introduced me to mini1337s, a gentlemen who happened to be looking for a buyer for his Russian dredge cards. I have been in the strange position of owning 4 Bazaars but nothing else for Dredge, so fixed that:

Which cards in a typical led dredge deck dont come in the Russian language?

Lion's Eye Diamond, Cabal Therapy, Ichorid, Putrid Imp (if you play those), Careful Study, Breakthrough, Cephalid Coliseum, City of Brass (if you have 'em).

Plus some of the flex stuff (Firestorm).

Then add Undiscovered Paradise, Serum Powder, Bazaar of Baghdad, Unmask, and Petrified Field once you start looking at Vintage Dredge.
    Tusk up.
(Not so) Current Decks: GB Elves, GW Maverick, GWb Maverick, LED Dredge, ANT, TES, Jund Storm.

Can we respond to someone's post without quoting the pictures in their post? It makes scrolling down the page very annoying, especially when using a mobile device.
"Attack with Order of the Ebon Hand."
    "K, block with Jotun Grunt?"
    "It has pro white."
    "Swords?"
    "It still has pro white."

I don't like the art in the original Leylines, even if they are more valuable.
I find your lack of faith disturbing.

I thought I would find them next to a bunch of Russian dredgers, but the truth was much, much sadder:

    Leyline Gibbons apparently?

^ This is a great example of unnecessary repeat photo quoting.

I really feel your pain. The suffering is endless, quoting pictures....

You're right, we should all strive to waste as much space as possible with minimal input!

@Bryant: Nice. What kind of Sharpie did you find that works for the newer Japanese cards?

10 interconnecting miscuts, the first card is Counterspell which is in my deck.

These are awesome! I really enjoy the beat up cards, even if they aren't as valuable you can almost feel the number of games they've won for someone. In a way they're more magical.

During the trade we couldn't find the 4th one, but it has been located. When I get that one I'll take another pic. 3 are alpha and 1 beta.

Agreed. My favorite card condition is the one you can only get by playing without sleeves on a picnic table at summer camp. Maybe you can chalk it up as nostalgia, but whatever.

I actually found two different kinds - Decocolor (Paint based) and Sharpie (Black Ink - White label with a pink band that says Oil based). I prefer the oil based.

It's worth noting that the Decocolor are oil based. I like them best because they go on smooth and while taking a bit longer to dry because they contain xylene they are lightfast and acidfree.
