I bought 4 juzams from 2 italian guys in a greek diner in Yonkers in like spring of 1994. They bought my coffee. No troubles. They may have buried the original owner somewhere in the Adirondacks ... but still a 5/5 for 4 was the best at the time.

There was a time when IKEA sold the glass beads for 9 crowns per box of ninty, while the usual local game stores had them for 49 crowns per a set of fourty. I bought two rucksacks of the IKEA ones and dealt them like crazy. Sadly, they went out of red ones (the primary V:TeS color choice) pretty fast, lest I'd bathe in money.
Best part was selling them to a random girl in a pub (she got them into aquarium) and then when the pub closed, we went to some music club where I walked around wearing hood and asked "hey, do you need something?". But I don't think I dealt anything there.

Thats actually some Alpha action (no bar code), but yeah that was of one of the reasons of course. Sadly the best things I pulled was a Lord of Atlantis and a Demonic Tutor, it was that bad. I woulda even took a Royal Assassin or something.

Some good stories and cards. I should be posting some stuff soon.

My sketchy meetup was probably buying 4x JTMS online for a rando (for states) that I've never met or talked to and having him meet me at my work around 10PM. Car pulls up, parks, and 5 nerds (stereotypical nerds) jump out looking all tough. Kid hands me the cash and I hand him the cards. I ask why did he bring all his friends. He said he was afraid that I was going to jump him... and I quote " after seeing you, we were worried you'd still screw us all up". If you've ever met me, you'll find this funny.

Maybe it's not exactly "pimp", but it was my first project to make one of my decks look different. At least it's consistent ;) Everything in German (no, I don't speak German at all), no foils (hate 'em), fetchable lands in white boarders for easier finding. (...and okay okay, money issues too :P) At least it looks good to me :)

@Yan- Looks tasty. Sorry I haven't really looked over the sideboard guide with much thought yet... I've been a major.procrastinator lately. I'm definitely giving it a more thorough look this week if my buzz ever wears off. GO BRUINS!!!

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks

Okay. Started a little side project around the middle of last year to see if a Legacy storm deck can hit six figures in value. I made certain concessions to value and playstyle, but here is a very preliminary look at what I have. Wasn't intending to post these, so excuse the shitty photos. That is also why some are still in toploaders etc, it was more of a stocktake than a picture exercise.

    - 1 petal and 1 crit are not in the main.
    - All cards below are foil when possible, older cards which can be korean are as such
    - Duresses are round bordered, none of that square-bordered crap
    - Basics have normal corners and backs
    - Misplaced 1 probe, it is a sdt until I retrieve it later this week
    - Missing 1 jp foil delta, done deal, coming in soon
    - Removed all duals (3 in main, 1 potentially in board, because they are becoming white bordered and I don't have all of them now. The ones I have or have incoming are NM+, BGS9 and 9.5.)
    - Have the full IT set, but only playing 3 in the main to cater for DD in the side and sdt competing with wish and IT for mana in turns 2 and 3
    - Cards with duplicates at the back are misprints -- normal jp foil versions at the back
    - Have something in mind for the two non-misprint brainstorms, drits will soon become a set of misprinted foils with the MM pic
    - Using spanish doubloons as storm counters, not pictured here.
    - When the white bordered dual flip happens, the goal will be met (with some to spare)
    - I really don't feel like debating the composition of the list. Just accept it. Chances are, I have the cards to play whatever list I wanted to anyway.

    Tokens:

    Composition of tokens (in order):

    All Minigishi.
    1 x First series
    1 x Fourth series
    2 x Fourth series (5 goblins)
    8 x Foil fifth series
    1 x Seventh series
    1 x Ninth series
    1 x Tenth series
    1 x Eleventh Series

The first series goblin is extremely rare, the 4th + 5th ones are worth quite a bit too.

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks

    Board is now:

Still in flux, although I expect PiF and potentially the swarms to make way as I don't see enough of the decks swarm is good against. Bayou, carpets, confidant, decay/chain are cards I am considering as replacements. Same with DoN if D&T dies down.

    Some closeups:

These + other wb duals are form the bulk of the value.

Combinations of basics which didn't make it, in decreasing order of preference.

This island was made for storm, looks completely screwed up AND is double printed with lotus petal's text.

    Misprint LED closeups:

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks

Same LED, miscut to show white on back, normal front:

    Brainstorms:

Probably the most offcentre foil BS I have seen (do not know of any foil ones which show a second card

Brainstorms are a weak spot in my collection :( Have other misprints, but wanted MM pictures.

    Dark rituals:

Last one has an upside down back. Plan here is to replace the first two.

Was considering using some of these as filler/killer tokens:

Naughty/Nice is misprinted (with wrong text and missing date)
    Pokemon test print
    Arcanine has a magic back

Was thinking of buying a 3d Whelp to use as a goblin token too, but was juuuust outbid.

Other random crap which I was considering:

So, still extremely preliminary as a bunch of cards still need upgrades and 1 delta is still missing. A good start, though, one would imagine.
