waiting to be graded
Those Seas are hot! Fuck that P9 crap
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably delicious.
Team ADHD-To resist is to piss in the wind. Anyone who does will end up smelling.
who needs p9?
i would like to convert those seas into tropicals instead ;)
geosgaen0, nice comeback ;D
Hey Occam,
Pleasure to see you too. As for grading, I think your sentiments fall right in line with mine . If I was only going to have a couple of graded cards for "showcase" purposes, BGS would most likely be my choice, as their slabs do display better imo, and are sturdier (so safer to carry around). As a set collector, the slimmer and simpler look of the PSA slab is preferred, and their Set Registry is incredible. Both seem to do a good job with grading, although PSA has a guarantee and BGS doesn't. On the other hand BGS is cheaper wrt grading fees (unless you submit a lot, also a benefit of PSA to setbuilders). Personally I'm fine with either - I may have chose PSA, but wouldn't hesitate to pick up a BGS card if the price was right .
geosgaen0,
Beautiful cards - good luck with your submissions!!! Alphas are a killer, as I'm sure you're aware. LMK how it turns out - are you going PSA or BGS? I have a PSA 10 Unlimited Lotus and a PSA 9 Alpha Lotus, as well as a PSA 9 Alpha Underground Sea (no Alpha Ancestral sorry to say, although I do have PSA 10's of both Beta and Unlimited ). Always nice to see other "minty" ABU classics - thanks for sharing.
Take it easy,
Jared

@thulnanth
i dunno, which one do u think best for grading? PSA or BGS? i mean im still confused, bcos, some ppl said bgs are stricter than psa ( including that psa card 10 could be bgs 9.5 or even bgs 9 ), but some ppl said that psa is better in database.
what's ur opinion?
btw, i still have 5 alpha minty moxes, and 1 minty beta ancestrall signed coming for grading too.^^
thx^^
Trying to trade into power!!!
Hit me up if you have any unlimited power that isn't creased. Maybe we can make a deal.
SCG now has a huge collection of non-English cards. I haven't looked through it decently yet, but it sure looks interesting. Should make it slightly easier to find that last Jap foil part of someone's deck. ;)
Hey geosgaen0,
Good question - truth be told I think either one is fine. Most of my experience is with PSA, so naturally I'm biased towards them, but I think you'd be fine with BGS too. When crossing between the 2, a PSA 10 usually equals a BGS 9.5, and the rest of the grades are about the same for both (9, 8.5, 8, etc.). A BGS 10 is a rare bird indeed - that being said they always make me think of the movie "Spinal Tap" (... ours goes up to 11 - lol). If you're looking to sell I'd probably go with PSA, as there are more people looking for them to fill out their sets; otherwise do whichever you feel most comfortable with. Good luck and best wishes on your sub!!!
Take it easy,

Black Bordered, Oldest Edition possible is my preference.
I'm not big on foils, but I really love some of the alternate art on the DCI foils, so I buy them over regular versions.
Occasionally the new art is so much superior to the old art that i'll take a newer edition over an old one.
This is my PIMP concept:
Every card has to be of the oldest edition
Every card of the oldest edition has to be in it's rarest version
Only original artwork
Only exception is for asian language, I don't like korean letter so I just look for japanese.
For istance:
- dual alpha/beta, signed if possible
- merchant scroll homelands signed > foil japanese merchant scroll
- mystical tutor mirage japanese > mystical tutor foil
This is my deck:
Actually I need:
- 1x Polluted Delta Foil Japanese
- 1x Engineered Explosives Foil Japanese
My Imperial Painter:
Lands:
Creatures: All of which are foil (except for recruiter)
Spells:
SB:
I just need 3 more Japanese grindstones, and 3 Japanese City of Traitors.

@both of last decks posted: Nice decks, but I can't understand why all basic lands are the same.. There are so many different Islands and Mountsins to have..
Because they're Arena lands, duh.
Huh, I hadn't seen the promo Wooded Foothills before. Very nice.
