October 2013 Update
Late again, sorry again. Been busy.
83.98 points is the cutoff, much to Dredge's relief:
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Miracle Control
- Sneak Attack
- Patriot
- Elves
- Death and Taxes
- Jund
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- Dredge

November 2013 Update
On schedule! Barely. Hey, what's that green thing?
Holy hairless elf balls
Okay, that's less crazy. Cutoff at 92 points so:
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Elves
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Sneak Attack
- Jund
- OmniTell
- Death and Taxes
- Miracle Control

December 2013 Update
Merry Magical Christmas Time!

There's a nice and large cutoff at 127 points, making the DTBF slightly more statistically meaningful ;) Here they are all twelve of them:
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Team America
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
- Blade Control
- Elves
- Death and Taxes
- Maverick
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- Miracle Control
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- Jund

January 2014 Update
It's that time of the month again! No, not that.
99 point cutoff, right in the middle of a huge gap:
- Team America
- Miracle Control
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Elves
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- Blade Control
- DeathBlade
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Death and Taxes
- Jund
- Nic Fit
Maverick and ANT are out.
----
A technical note: I've looked over the past year of results and I think the cutoff has become a bit too generous. Due to (presume) the increase in reports smoothing out the score curve, we have regularly had over ten and as high as thirteen DTBs throughout 2013, particularly in the latter half.
The original 3.4% requirement was aimed at having between six and ten DTBs at any given time, and I still feel a list of that size would be more useful, as well as limit the constant reshuffling in the lower half of it. Therefore, from next month, the minimum score to qualify for the DTBF will be raised to 4.6% of the total score. (If that number had been in place recently, we would have had the desired six to ten DTBs.)

February 2014 Update
Happy St. Valentine to all three of you!
If you missed it in the above post, the required share to be a Deck To Beat has increased from 3.4% to 4.6%. As a result, the cutoff is a whole 121 points, and we get this DTBF:
- Team America
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Elves
- Death and Taxes
- Blade Control
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- DeathBlade
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
Miracle Control (!), Canadian Thresh (!!!), Shardless BUG, Jund and Nic Fit are OUT.
I repeat: U/G/R CANADIAN THRESHOLD IS OUT OF THE DTBF FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE NOVEMBER 2011 (i.e. since Delver of Secrets was first legal)
Note that while yes, under the previous, more relaxed rules it would have made the cut by six points, Canadian Thresh spent most of the past two years in the top spots of the scoreboard. It would never have risked demotion if it hadn't suddenly fallen from #1-#4 to #9.

You can thank Windows 8's shitty character sets for those annoying rhombuses.
March 2014 Update
I like how the new cutoff makes this more Thunderdome, less Care Bear Friendship Club. Only six made it past the 92-point cutoff, and one by the skin of its teeth:
- Team America
- Miracle Control
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- DeathBlade
- Jund
Elves, Death and Taxes, Blade Control, and ANT are out

RIP format diversity. Also, welcome back Canadian Thresh.
April 2014 Update
So, uh, if you compare the graph above to the last few months you kinda notice that we don't just have one dominating deck, but two. Team America and Miracle Control have been eating up a lot of this month's tournament points (and there's been a lot of tournaments too, like 70% more than last month), and as a result the DTBF is tightening up.
There may be four decks that got past the 156-point cutoff, but don't get fooled: it's TA and MC at the top, and then a bunch of second-stringers, two of which are somewhat less second-stringer than the rest.
(For the record, the old cutoff would have given us ten DTBs, so no, I think going low with four is still more informational.)
- Team America
- Miracle Control
- Jund
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
Sneak and Show, UWR Delver, and Deathblade are out.
YOU'RE GIVING ME A TIME MACHINE IN ORDER TO TREAT MY SLEEP DISORDER.
May 2014 Update
Well that was a very short-lived reprieve for Canadian Thresh.
The field broadens again, as an 88 cutoff gives us nine decks to beat:
- Team America
- Miracle Control
- Elves
- Jund
- DeathBlade
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- Death and Taxes
Canadian Thresh is out.
Also, I'm noticing a decent chunk of decks in the "BUG Control" category not running Shardless Agent (using TNN instead). The Shardless thread still seems the best place on these forums to discuss the deck even without its namesake, but I'll be keeping an eye out for possible changes / thread splitting next month.

June 2014 Update
Not gonna lie, this will be a pretty yawn-worthy update
Bit of a shuffle around the top, Canadian Thresh bounces back to the spotlight, and a general tightening of the metagame; but there's no major shakeups as all the interesting decks missed the cutoff, sometimes pretty closely (looking at you, UR Burn). A 101-points cutoff gives us:
- Miracle Control
- Death and Taxes
- Team America
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- DeathBlade
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
Elves, Jund, Sneak and Show, and Ad Nauseam Tendrils are out.

July 2014 Update
*types with one finger while lying under the a/c*
the cutoff is at 116 points so we have:
- Miracle Control
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Team America
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Elves
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
DeathBlade and Death&Taxes are OUT.

August 2014 Non-Update
Hello,
I am going to declare August a skip month for the update. To see why, here are the total scores collected for each month of 2014:
August (or, to be anal, the second half of July + the first of August) has had only around half as much tournament points as most other months, and almost a third as much the largest month. Running the update for August would leave us with a five-deck DTBF, and the difference between almost all DTBs and non-DTBs would come from single digits. This would be highly misleading in all the worst ways.Code:January - 2895 February - 2628 March - 1983 April - 3384 May - 1898 June - 2180 July - 2516 August - 1192
I'll try to cumulate the August data with that from September next month.
Until then, enjoy your holidays (if you get any).

September 2014 Update
Life pro-tip: if you're ever about to utter the words "Yeah I can do that, it should be easy", just skip the middleman and directly hammer your own crotch instead.
So let's get on to this double-feature. August on the left, September on the right (or above / below, depending on your screen size).
Once we slam those numbers together, we get a cutoff of 163 points, and the following decks make it. Get ready to be underwhelmed:
- Team America
- Miracle Control
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control) (I can't believe I only now realised the pun)
- Sneak and Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack) (winner of the monthly "had to go back and double-check" award, I'm so used to seeing it near the bottom)
- Death and Taxes (there you go, Finn,
thanks for the cheque)- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Elves
Honourable mention to DeathBlade's 160 points.
UWR Delver is out.

October 2014 Update
Total time slept during weekdays: 25 hours. Total time slept during weekend: 25 hours. I suspect this might not be an entirely healthy lifestyle.
We've tightened up even further this month, as the cutoff is at a pretty high 93 points which just barely kicks out DeathBlade, leaving us with a mere five Decks To Beat:
- Miracle Control
- Elves
- Team America
- Death and Taxes
- Shardless BUG (TCDecks: BUG Control)
Canadian Thresh and Sneak & Show are out.

November 2014 Update
Happy post-Halloween pre-Christmas season! Are you ready for another boring month of tiny meta changes?
Hahahah, just kidding. We have a new champion in town, name is U/R Delver, please to meet you. Granted, most of its points come from a few big performances rather than general domination, but still, it doesn't happen often to go straight to #1 on the back of two new cards. Two commons, at that.
As for the rest of the lineup, we have a 107-point threshold, which gives:
- UR Delver (TCDecks: U/R Burn)
- Miracle Control
- DeathBlade
- Elves
- Sneak & Show (TCDecks: Sneak Attack)
- Team America
Death & Taxes and Shardless BUG are out.

December 2014 Update
tl;dr: No, it wasn't a fluke.
There isn't much to say here - UR Delver retains its crown, and the top of the field shrinks again to just five decks - and one of them is UR Delver with an extra colour thrown in! A hefty 143-points threshold will do that.
The DTBF:
- UR Delver (TCDecks: U/R Burn)
- Miracle Control
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- Elves
- Team America
DeathBlade and Sneak&Show are out.

February 2015 Update
MOTHERFUCKING LANDS
106 point threshold this month. Speaking of which, Threshold shoots straight back up to #1, I guess. But mostly, MOTHERFUCKING LANDS
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- UR Delver (TCDecks: U/R Burn)
- Miracle Control
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- OmniTell
- UWR Delver (TCDecks: Patriot)
- (M.F.) Lands (It's mostly the R/G version. By the way, props to Dice_Box for being prepared and writing an awesome primer.)

March 2015 Update
The first post-ban update brings things back to normal with perhaps the most boring DTB ever.
133 points threshold for this list of forum regulars:
- Miracle Control
- Team America
- Ad Nauseam Tendrils
- Elves
- OmniTell
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
- Blade Control
- Death and Taxes
UR Delver (r.i.p.), UWR Delver (less r.i.p.), and M.F. Lands are out.

April 2015 Update
Nevermind, this one is the most boring update ever. Literally no new decks:
137 points threshold means five of last month's eight decks survive, and no new ones make the cut:
- Miracle Control
- Team America
- Death and Taxes
- OmniTell
- Canadian Thresh (TCDecks: Threshold UGr)
Ad Nauseam Tendrils, Elves, and Blade Control are out.

Hi folks,
Sorry for completely blowing the May update deadline; real life had me pretty tied down during the usual update period, and afterwards, to be entirely honest, it slipped my mind.
Since we're actually closer to the June update timeframe by now, and I also happen to be taking some much-needed vacation in those same days, I will be doing a proper update at that time.
In the meanwhile, I will promote Grixis Control to DTB, since - even without doing the whole number-crunching - the rise of that deck is pretty clearly the main metagame news for May.
See you in a couple of weeks.
