I managed to go 2-2 despite missing a number of cards due to availability, plus beforehand I went 4-1 vs goblins (no sideboarding) while testing. Beat lands and stoneblade, lost to burn and miracles. Surgical was a huge problem and I'm planning on putting 2-3 ground seal in the board. Elspeth needs to go and approach might not be good enough either. Though it did win me the game post surgical on rip vs stone blade. Not sure if any green enchantments could work as an alternative wincon.
Edit: words of Wilding combos with library...considering 1 choke too.

How was Abundance? Last week it was 1 possibly cut, now it's 2.
Also what happened to Words of Wilding? Was it too cute to try and keep around a Sylvan Library to get maximum value?
This seems correct. Goblins and creature based decks should be wins. Miracles is still bad with or without top. Burn can be to fast without life gain or a Leyline.
Maybe we can try Silent Gravestone to blank surgical and act as future gravehate.
Congrats on the success.
I am also interested to here more about your experiences.
I only played two since I left leyline of sanctity at home by accident. It (or pursuit of knowledge) combos with library but I only want it against the grindy matchups. It might get cut still. I boarded it out a lot. I don't own words yet but will pick one up at the gp this weekend.
@warp: yeah or ground seal. You mentioned aegis of honor before I think I'll try it.
Green gives us new toys like choke and city of solitude in the jace decks matchup I think we should try. Let me know if either of you play quinn!
Edit: a lot of decks can't deal with isochron scepter game 1 right now so I'm going back up to two.
The stream/commentary was backed up to youtube (link below). At 3 hours minutes 22 to 24 there is sylvan quinn going 4-0 discussion. Starting at 3 hours 26 minutes some deck discussion. At the beginning of round 4 there is a brief mention too.

Won round 1 on camera yesterday (link below)...then lost to grixis delver and whitefaces on spicy miracles and dropped. I think the deck needs more fetches to make sure you can get green.
Edit: with the amount of burn and grixis delver in my meta increasing I probably want more leylines in the board. I'm happy with the miracles sb plan right now. Lost a close game 3 after resolving choke due to not being able to close out the game and callum running disenchant/unexpectedly absent.
Edit 2: I should probably be running unexpectedly absent.

Cool to hear people talking about the deck.
The list seems sweet and I will have to run it when I get all of the cards for the green splash. So keep up the good work. I still think land tax is good for us and would help smooth out the splash color. Unexpectedly Absent is good and functions as another scepter target. It plays well with all of the fetch lands in the format as well. I will keep playing white for now at fnm's.
Sweet, you don't need the savannah if that's the issue. Temple garden will do but you need the 4 heaths. Land tax is poor on the play though and hurts ensnaring bridge. I was considering carpet of flowers in the board though. We usually don't have much delver but if you do it is bonkers.
I think oketra's last mercy is a consideration...good with library vs control/combo. Vs burn or delver just to stabilize. Pulse of the fields or abundance might still just be better?
If you're worried about Land Tax hurting you when Bridge is in play, why not an effect like Peace of Mind?
Hi!
Here we are debating Mono White Control. I felt like its not The Mighty Quinn as it doesent play Scepter combo.
http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/s...e-Control-2019
This is my current list:
4 Tharben Inspector
3 Eternal Dragon
1 Palace Jailer
1 Emrakul, the Promised End
1 Gideon of Trials
2 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
3 Decree of Justice
3 Mind Stone
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Path to Exile
2 Council's Judgement
2 Pulse of the Fields
3 Wrath of God
3 Hour of Revelation
2 Abeyance
1 Boseju, Who Shelters Us All
1 Thawing Glaciers
2 Field of Ruin
4 Scrying Sheets
16 Snow-Covered Plains
Sideboard:
3 Leyline of Sancticity
3 Surgical Extraction
2 Ethersworn Canonist
2 Disenchant
2 Containment Priest
1 Boseju, Who Shelters Us All
1 Karakas
1 Unexpectedly Absent
The basic idea is not to play non-land permanents to blank opponent answers and nuke the board a few times per game. There are too many artifact removal these days in the meta so I thought IScepter was not an option. Inspector draws, Mindstone can draw, Gideons generate some advantage and can dodge the sweepers (they can be indestructible) You are very slow control deck that is very good at not dying. You play landrop every turna and then around counters you kill with big decree, Emrakul or pws. I am not saying it is finished and perfect but so far its been really good. We have a #baddecksfebruarychallenge here in Prague so I brought this one up but I have only lost one round so far. It is really cool to play and much better than it seems. Any comments are appriciated!
Tom
List seems sweet. I might have to pick up what I am missing and add it to my rotation
Hello there!
Long time reader of The Source, I thought it was time to subscribe and share my insight
about my favourite decks.
And what better way to write a first post than a nice Battle report.
Yesterday our store was holding our weekly Legacy night: 18 players, 4 rounds.
A bit of a backstory about me: I'm a (very) long time Enchantress player and wanted to put my hands onto something new. I've been on Sylvan Quinn for several week now and I think it has the right tools to be good in the good meta (mainly because a T2 RiP is a usually good).
Without further ado, here is the list:
4 Rest in Peace
4 Sylvan Library
1 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
2 Helm of Obedience
1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
1 Mobilization
4 Swords to Plowshares
1 Porphyry Nodes
3 Orim's Chant
1 Isochron Scepter
2 Abeyance
2 Ensnaring Bridge
2 Humility
2 Oblivion Ring
1 Cast Out
1 Ratchet Bomb
1 Nevermore
1 Choke
3 Enlightened Tutor
5 Snow-Covered Forest
8 Snow-Covered Plains
4 Scrying Sheets
1 Temple Garden
1 Karakas
4 Windswept Heath
SB:
2 Ethersworn Canonist
3 Wrath of God
1 Unexpectedly Absent
1 Damping Sphere
2 Leyline of Sanctity
1 Runed Halo
3 Phyrexian Revoker
2 Choke
A few side notes:
—Only two helms because they're dead cards when you draw then "naked". Also I only own two, so there is that…
— In the SB, Damping Sphere is good against Combo but is mostly here for Eldrazi-Post. But
honestly, I pretty much gave-up on this MU.
—I'm just testing Unexpectedly Absent in the Side. So far it has been great.
Anyway, let's get to the matches!
1 – Lands
G1:He plays a T1 exploration and a T2 loam.
I play a T2 RiP and a T3 Scepter with Orim's.
Obviously the Orim-lock won me the game but retrospectively it was a mistake: I had Abeyance in hand and should have print that instead.
G2: I'm quite lucky here since I have Nevermore in my opening hand. I cast it and name Krosian grip (later my opponent says he had a full playset as a side plan).
Now I know my hands are free and I proceed to lock the game (cast Humility) while my opponent gets up to 5 Rishadan Ports thanks to thespian Stage!
He tried to go for Marit-Lage (it was a 1/1) That I plowed anyway. I then waited to get enough mana for a Mobilization kill.
1-0
As a side note, my opponent was extremely friendly. Here is an example:
"Me: Well, I'll pay 2 for my Temple Garden...
Him: No, it's a Savannah.
Me: Are you sure?
Him: Yes, it's a Savannah".
Always refreshing to play with people like that.
2 – BUG Control
G1: My opponent is quite amazed when I play T2 RiP and chose to Pierce it. He Seized a Helm the turn after and I couldn't do much after that.
I managed to put a Bridge in play but he used two Wasteland to prevent me from casting my spells.
I die by the hands of two TNNs while I have two O-ring in hand that I can't play.
G2:I mulligan a do-nothing hand with Gideon and 2 Humilities. Then everything you could expect in this MU happened. My choke got Trophied, My Runed-Halo naming TNN got Decayed .
And obviously I died to a TNN.
Of course, you could think that our deck is "maindecked" against TNN, but Assassin's Trophy and Abrupt Decay are SO GOOD against us, it is almost unfair.
1-1
3 – Miracles
G1: T1 I'm on an interesting decision where I wonder if I should directly go for Choke or try a Sylvan Library that would act as a counter-bait. I go for the library-way and my opponent fell into the trap. I then Tutor again for a Choke that sticked.
There, we are on an interesting situation where he take several turns and slowly tap his lands for cantrips attempting to find a solution. At some point, 6(!) islands are permanently tapped.
I wonder "How do I die from here?" I consider that Jace is his only way out. I thus land a Ratchet Bomb and proceed to put counters on it. And indeed, he casts a Jace who only brainstorm twice before I pop the bomb. He concede not long after.
G2: This was an extremely grindy game. In the end, he managed to get rid of all of my wincons except 1 RiP, 1 Helm and Mobilization.
T2 RiP get Disenchanted.
T3 Library get Disenchanted.
T4 Choke get Counciled.
Anyway, we trade resources, but he doesn't manage to refill properly. At some point I have an Elsepth when he lands a Mentor and get two tokens.
I then proceed to slam Humility. Since he doesn't counter, I know the coast is clear. And so, I slam another one the turn after.
Next it goes like this:
"-Ponder. I make a token.
-No, you don't"
-How does Snapcaster work with Humility?
-It doesn't"
Elspeth gets Counciled and he plays his Jace.
I play Mobilization. I think I can get get rid of Jace with my tokens. Nonetheless he begins to +2 and tempo with terminus and Supreme Verdict, So I just Unexpectedly Absent the jace X=3 and still have Mobilization in play. He concede.
2-1
4 – NicFit
G1: I go first. He plays a T1 Veteran Explorer and I play a T2 RiP. His eyes go wide and he doesn't do much after that. I then proceed to just Oops-I-Win with a T5 Helm.
Him: "This is lame."
I must confess: I almost answered: "Yep, but you lost to it."
G2: He goes for a T2 Cabal+Veteran, successfully making me discard Helm and an O-ring. I'm stuck with a hand full of lands and pass.
It then goes like this:
"Him: Draw. Land. Library.
Me: Draw. Land. Library."
He then plays a Tireless Tracker that I promptly plow.
My draws appears to be better than his since I can cast RiP, Bridge and then a Gideon. However he finds his Pernicious deeds and pops it right away for 3.
Only left Gideon.
The One-Man-Army will then quickly take over the game with 5/5 beats. My opponent tries to tempo with Teeg and Rec.Sage (destroying nothing) but it's too late already. He cast Evolutonary Leap, use it to find a Sigarda and cast it.
He's at 5. I animate Gideon and attack. He has to block.
He takes his turn, look at the top 3 cards and says "This is shit".
Overall he was salty to lose to "a bad deck".
3-1
Props:
-Gideon for being the Indestructible "prevent all damage" animal he is. He was stellar every time he sticked to the Field and even beat the crap out of a Sigarda like a champ.
-To slam a T2 RiP and watch your opponent lose there shit.
Cons:
-The BG removals. I already hated Decay, but Trophy is even worse as it also touches our Pws. AND it's instant!!!
-My forth opponent.
I will probably transition to MWC when people get the habit of T2 RiP.
I will definitely change the SB. My local meta is HEAVILY blue. One last Choke doesn't seem terrible.
I didn't see a lot of combo decks. But I however saw a lot of black discard. Replacing a few things for 2 more Leylines (maybe one Abeyance MD and the Damping sphere?) seems fine aswell.
I also saw several UR Delver/Burn decks. Pulse of the Field could be a consideration.
Anyway, that’s it for now. I hope this report was relevant to the thread, thanks for reading.
PS: I am cautious about the last Serra Planeswalker. Popping angels is nice, but her +1 just seems like a win-more for us and Adoration isn't great (The artwork is gorgeous however).

Good work !! BUG can be rough since they are effectively pre-boarded vs Quinn, but luckily not many people run bug right now. Grixis is much more popular and they can't deal with enchantments md.
Edit: Pulse of the fields or an abundance tutor target both combo with library to create a draw engine. Zuran orb too as sheets gets us a lot of land.
