    You know what would be totally awesome? If we had an entire forum dedicated to this sort of thing.

    Oh wait, we do!

    1. Not all the decks he wants are there.

    2. I assume he doesn't want to look throught the hundreds of posts/pages there so I think this is a bit easier.

    And imo I know no one else agrees, but you should test gagomy.

    If it's not in that forum, is it really worth taking the time to test against it? I mean, if you can beat goblins, chances are you can beat some random shitty r/g aggro deck.

    So... he want's someone else to take the time to read through hundreds of posts? Right. You know, every single thread in that forum has a decklist in the very first post. That should be a strong enough starting point. Entire strategies don't change because there are a five card difference in maindeck lists.

    Wrong. If you know a list post it, if not then don't. I don't see what's so hard about grasping this concept. Is it really that hard to post a list of a deck you play consistently? It took me about 1 minute to post the lists I did.

    Yes I don't want to, but more importantly I won't know what lists are optimal. I don't know a thing about building Survival, Landstill, or many decks.

    As I said, I also what this to be a reference to both new players and people in the same place as me. Suppose someone wants to play Angel Stompy. They go to Angel Stompy thread and what do they see? A list form '06. Suppose they dig though the thread retroactively and find a modern, yet terrible list. He plays the deck a few times, loses, loses interest, and stops playing Legacy.

    Thanks for the lists Zulander.

    Re: Piles of Proxies

    is the mana base for Red Death a little off? last time I checked, it was
    4 bloodstained
    3 Polluted
    3 Badlands
    7 Swamps
    4 Wasteland

    it might've changed, but that 4th wasteland is pretty important imo

    I agree with TB, but if people want to waste their time then more power to them.

    Speaking of wasting time, do you have any idea how long it's going to take you to run even five match sets across that entire gauntlet?

    When in trouble, delegate.

    Re: Piles of Proxies

    Blek, screw it. That is a lot of time.

    I think my gauntlet will be;

    Death and Taxes
    Ichorid
    Breakfast
    "Storm Combo"
    Landstill
    Goblins
    Faerie Stompy
    A B/x Disruption deck, probably Red Death
    Thresh

    Is Survival worth testing against? Witch storm should that be, TES, CRET Belcher, or Iggy Pop?

    Do you want optimized lists, or gauntlet lists? There is quite a bit of difference, as you can guess.

    I thought a gauntlet consisted of optimized lists.

    Maybe I don't know what optimized means any more.

    Re: Piles of Proxies

    Optimized lists are just that; gauntlet lists are what people will usually play.

    In other words, do not test against super secret tech ;)

    Anyway, here's something lifted straight from my Gauntlet folder:

    Cephalid Breakfast - as published on SCG:

    // Lands
    2 [PR] Underground Sea
    4 [ON] Flooded Strand
    4 [ON] Polluted Delta

    // Creatures
    1 [JU] Sutured Ghoul
    1 [SH] Shaman en-Kor
    3 [FUT] Narcomoeba
    4 [TO] Cephalid Illusionist
    4 [SH] Nomads en-Kor
    4 [FUT] Tarmogoyf

    // Spells
    4 [PR] Force of Will

    3 [MI] Worldly Tutor
    4 [DS] AEther Vial
    3 [AL] Lim-Dul's Vault
    1 [TSP] Dread Return

    // Sideboard

    SB: 3 [AP] Pernicious Deed
    SB: 3 [TSP] Krosan Grip
    SB: 3 [SC] Stifle

    Rg Goblins - featuring all of the most common options

    // Lands

    4 [TE] Wasteland
    5 [UNH] Mountain
    3 [ON] Bloodstained Mire
    4 [ON] Wooded Foothills
    3 [PR] Taiga

    // Creatures
    3 [GP] Tin Street Hooligan
    3 [LE] Gempalm Incinerator
    4 [US] Goblin Lackey
    4 [TE] Mogg Fanatic
    4 [ON] Goblin Piledriver
    4 [SC] Goblin Warchief
    4 [P2] Goblin Matron
    3 [SC] Siege-Gang Commander

    SB: 4 [AL] Pyrokinesis
    SB: 4 [MR] Chalice of the Void

    UGr Thresh - lots of stuff I hate here, but that's not what matters:

    // Lands

    1 [UNH] Island
    3 [ON] Flooded Strand

    SB: 2 [TSP] Krosan Grip
    SB: 3 [SC] Stifle

    4C Landstill - probably less popular than U/W/x, but the latter is impossible to standardize:

    3 [PR] Tropical Island
    4 [4E] Mishra's Factory

    SB: 3 [SOK] Pithing Needle

    Re: Piles of Proxies

    Much like U/W Landstill or "Loam", there is simply too much variation to come up with a gauntlet list. First of all, no colours are fixed other than Green. Secondly, individual card choices can affect matchups a lot: Flametongue Kavu was a staple until now, but will most players cut it with the rise of 'Goyf? Some players love Nimble Mongoose, and one of the main reasons for that is how it single-handedly improves the Goblin matchup a lot (by providing a reliable Lackey blocker). What about Loaming Shaman? Recurring Nightmare? Enlightened Tutor for consistent Survivals or extra beaters as a backup, non-SotF plan? Any such 2-3 cards have a huge effect on game plans, which just doesn't apply to the decks I provided.

    You should probably include one of the BWG control or aggro control lists, preferrably Truffle Shuffle, since that one is the most extreme.

    The Ichorid list shouldnt be running Street Wraiths if your playtesting to battle my team. Nor should D&T have True Believers.
