Looks like another great tournament in the North East! I think we will try and get a car load from the cuse again! If you are intrested just PM me, we went to the 4 x Underground event and had some fun, yeah type 4! Maybe we can have a better showing this time, now that we know that half the meta is some sort of black deck!
There we about 2 black decks at the dual tourney last week. Don't account for anything about the meta because it is different every time. This time there was a lot of Threshold
Yah Don't try to metagame at our tournies or else you will fail horribly. Great prices as always I can't wait to take home those meddling mages.
Team NeverWin: We just top 8 a lot.
Too lazy to post.
We'll be there.

I guess I'll be there. Anyone want a ride from Boston?
I would love to attend, but there's a Myriad Games Vintage Tourney on the same day
I think I'm going to try to win this for once instead of getting third. Considering the mana leak broke my streak (scrub out then win the side).

This tourney could easily eclipse the mana leak open.
The return of a Legend(in his own words)
I've been looking into a cube draft as a side event. Would there be interest in that? If you don't know, cube draft uses the 50 best cards of each color, the best artifacts and lands. The cards are divided into 15 cards packs and they are then drafted.
I love that idea. For those who haven't played the cube it's the best format ever.

Thank you to everyone that came out for the event. We had 34 people in attendance. Top 8 was:
1: Dan Gacioch (Storm)
2: James Mankins (UW standstill)
3-4: Jeff Kowalczyk (Alluren)
Jay Palmer (Dragon Stompy)
5-8:
Ben Lukas
Pat Kellaher
Matt McNally
Steve Normandin
I will post a more complete report shortly.
Was a good time.. Maybe i'll have to drag my ass out again after shaking the cobwebs out of the part of my brain that tells me how to play magic decently. Gratz to Jay and Norm for Top8ing. Sucks that Matt, Shane, Bre, and myself couldn't crack the top 8 with you guys.

Gotta love 5-1ing the swiss and losing to the 4-2 in 8th place.

I have no idea why they never go to 'cuse. I normally don't because I don't have money, deck, or a ride. Shane provided all of the above for me in this tournament, and fuck, 3-3 (being 3-2 going into round 6 with a top 8 spot on the line against the eventual winner) in my first tourney in like 2 years? I'll take it. And it was a fucking blast.
If it makes you feel any better I'll mail you a few Russian Goblin tokens, Mike.
Edit: To clarify, I don't own much in the way of magical cards anymore and my car won't make it out there without either dying or costing a fortune in gas that has to go into my tank for getting to work, classes, car insurance, and general bill paying... So while I reimbursed shane in cards for the entry fee and ride, I'm not sure it's something I'm going to be able to do all the time... regardless of the destination being 'Cuse, Hadley, or where ever.

Cuse is like three to four hours longer of a drive for me and my crew. We plan on getting out their eventually, because the prize support is pretty much always insane. Its just one hell of a trip for a one day tourney...
