I've been looking into a cube draft as a side event. Would there be interest in that? If you don't know, cube draft uses the 50 best cards of each color, the best artifacts and lands. The cards are divided into 15 cards packs and they are then drafted.
I love that idea. For those who haven't played the cube it's the best format ever.

If me and my dad come then its probably gonna be anywhere from 2-4 from CT. Theres also Pat (guy who won 4x U sea) and another player at our local cardshop but i havent heard from them since TMLO.

Not sure what's going on with the Stoughton crew yet. I still haven't decided if I'm going, but if I do I'm most likely getting at least one other with me.

If all of you have no idea what the cube draft is, yo have probably been in te dark. Or you don't are about the Invitational. Anyways, Cube Draft is probably best limited format I have ever played in. Our own Fuckin Bryan has the entire cube draft list built and sleeved and ready to go (minus power and a few random cards, but we just proxy those).
For a side event, I think that this would be the best format to play because all you need to enter is yourself and it isn't contingent on format and the like. We are hoping to be able to do this as a side event because it is very fun and appeals to a majority of the people (I would think). Besides, theres nothing more fun than setting up infinite Time Walk with E Wit and Recurring Nightmare IN FUCKING DRAFT.
Plus you could walk away with a free Tarmogoyf for it. So if there is enough response, we will probably be doing this for a side event. Let us know what you guys think

I will second that. I sat down with the Western Mass crew not knowing what Cube Draft was at all. BTW, I loath drafting. But I agreed to it after seeing some of the cards, and I will definitely do it again.
In fact, I can't beleive it has taken so many years for the format to come about. It is that good.
I may actually show up to this..... depends on how broke I am or what card pool i've got to construct a deck from...
