    How does rishadon port work

How does rishadon port work. What I mean is lets say you were playing against a white deck and you wanted to keep them off of double white. When would you be able to use port so they couldn't wrath of god or something. Would it be during the upkeep or draw.

When you pass your turn to them, ask to stop during upkeep or say "pass to your upkeep" that way they are aware that you would like to do something during their upkeep. Some players just skip straight through the upkeep if they have no costs to pay, assuming that you'd say something before hand if you wanted to not just pass priority back to change phase. Then port their plains or dual to try and keep them off of double white. If you're trying to keep them from playing creatures or sorceries with one particular color mana, your best bet is to do it during their upkeep. As far as hoping they don't have mana to cast a big spell during your turn, their endstep works as well.

You cannot port a land really to keep them from casting spells during their main phases, however, as they can just float the mana and cast their spell anyways.

You can tap the lands at upkeep or end of draw phase to keep them from mana for sorceries/creatures because mana pool is cleared out at end of Beginning phase (Uptap + Upkeep + Draw)

301.1. The beginning phase consists of three steps, in this order: untap, upkeep, and draw.
