    Card trading sites

In addition to Ebay, I know of CardShark.com and MagicCardMarket.eu (the one I currently use, for small orders where shipping charges > exchange rate edge).

    Do you know of others?

Magictraders.com is a common one too, which is really good.

I realize that there is a site rule against sales threads, but would a thread of have/want lists for trading purposes be acceptable? Maybe it could be in Mish Mash or something similar so only members could see it and you wouldn't get random people joining just to rip someone off? A trade thread on the source could just be asking for trouble but imo there is a relatively strong sense of community and people would be honest in general.

I just have one thing to say about this.

    NO

There are plenty of other sites out there to get "ripped" on we don't need it here. I know that most of the persons on here are legit but it only takes one to spoil it for everyone else.

The thing is no one is going to force you to make a trade. If you're not comfotable then just don't do it. If there was a "trade thread" you could still go on living your life as if it didn't exist. I've traded via email with many sourcers have never had a problem. You're right though it would most likely turn out poorly (not to mention be a severe headache for the mods) - I would personally love an at least semi-reliable trading site since there are maybe five people within a three hour radius of me that actually play eternal formats.

It's a bad idea, what if you send your Tundras for Seas. Then Joe "Sixpack" doesn't send the Seas?

Also, I've used magictraders. It's really solid.

Clearly such a thread is not going to happen so this is all hypothetical, I'm just saying that I wouldn't send my Tundras to Joe Sixpack who has zero posts and joined yesterday - if people use their heads and are willing to accept the inherent risk of such a transaction... eh just dreaming I guess.

And thanks, I'll check out magictraders.
