Which is one reason I was really confused when I saw him playing it. Am I missing something? I mean, Chalice at 0 is actually really good against that list! I don't want to make horrible assumptions without testing (although I've just done so) but that's just my gut reaction.

Yah that was a typo I meant 2 in the main deck.
And also I play the caverns because everyone thinks they are Angels when I lay them down and immediately kill them. I guess Chalice for 0 hurts, but I also have Karn or I can hardcast the Angel. It's not like I don't get enough mana consistently.
