Well that is harsh. At least you could have made me feel better by saying you could have made a couple of calls or something trying to reach her. At least it would have made me feel better. I think I'll hold out for something better.

Did anyone notice that Goblins was over 25% of the field and didn't put anyone into the Top8 (even though Jeff Floinus was 9th on day1 with Goblins)? Or that 1 of decks like Enchantress, Aluren, Psychatog were into the Top8 with only 1 player playing them? Solidarity also looks like its disappearing at least in the number of players playing it. Maybe its suffering from The Red Death.

I did notice the "1 ofs." Interesting indeed, but this is not unique to this tournament. I am currently worried about Solidarity's place in the meta. It seems to be less and less of a concern and seems to be placing more poorly. Any real concerns, I think, will be assuaged or confirmed by the GP in a two months.

I wanted to clear up any confusion. The metagame breakdown was meant as all decks for the tournament including decks in Top8. There were 60 players and 60 decks are listed in the metagame breakdown.

If there was as much Faerie Stompy as there was thresh or gobs, I am convinced it would be considered tier 1. Despite having minimal turnout, the deck has a lot of top 8 in relation to how much it is played.

And the 1-of Faerie Stompy Top 8d too. Although that list is giving me headache...1-ofs are all good, but there are some really weird choices like Mox Diamond, SoLaS and especially Academy Ruins. I guess it worked for him and some of those aren't actually bad ideas (the 2/2 split between Diamonds and Chromes is most interesting, I just wonder if it won't open one up to drawing the wrong half too often, and SoLaS has some merit, but I can't just get behind adding more colourless lands), but still, that list looks even less refined than mine and that's saying a lot. Still, the only FS Top 8ing (once again) goes to show that the deck is indeed pretty darn strong (even if it failed to win).

I was reminded yesterday of how bad I must be at math. Goblins only represented 16% of the field not over 25% of the field. Its still suprising that Goblins didn't make Top8 if its so amazing!
