Right before going to legacy I had a casual deck wich ran Dark Depths and power conduit with magistrate's scepter.
Now I'm trying to rebuild (part of) it to fit in the legacy scene.
This is what I've come up with so far:
4 Power Conduit
4 Clockspinning
3 Braid of Fire
2 Ion Storm
3 Aether Snap
2 Dark Depths
4 Counterbalance
3 ToP
4 Dark Ritual
3 Necroplasm
3 Crown of Flames
3 Ornithopter
1 Molten Hydra
5 Island
3 Mountain
2 Swamp
4 Badlands
2 Underground Sea
4 Bloodstained Mire
The main idea is moving counters around with power conduit ofc.
The dark Depths - Aether snap is a backup plan but from the little testing I did it became painfully clear that it's about the only kill condition.
I got the idea for Ion storm from Loam running Seismic Assault
Braid of Fire could serves multiple purposes: Ion storm's activation cost, counter on Hydra, Crown of Flames. Elephant Grass came to mind but one color has to go then (blue propably).
CounterTop: Don't know why I put this in, but they're great cards
One thing is certain: it needs more creatures and the forest is pobably the place to look
Feel free to comment (a lot :))

Well, because I'm not sure it's a viable idea, I only will give some ideas to improve the mechanic: Ashling the Pilgrim is faster than Molten Hydra. Another card of the colors is Chisei, Heart of Oceans. She looks muck more viable then aether snap which costs 5 while you want to cast it with non-mana land. Or at least add acceleration. Remember that 20/20 indestructible token without haste is not "ok, I win". Think about how much resources (including time when you can be beaten) you spenp for it and how easy to remove him with stp/bounce/ stop with maze of ith. However, I said "think about", not "throw it away". I always like when people work around ideas).
Btw, in what order do you want to play your stuff during the game?

Well, because I'm not sure it's a viable idea
that makes two of us :)
Ashling will certainly take the hydra's place. Chisei is nice, but I chose Aether snap because it can bring marit lage in play in one turn. With Dark Ritual it's rather do-able. does swords/EE/powder keg/... destroy the token? Doesn't indestructible mean you have to get it's thoughness to 0 to kill it? I know bounce kills it, just not sure about the rest.
about the order:
at the moment I think the best plan would be to get a creature out, enchant it with crown and get braid of fire. Necroplasm and power conduit to get some sort of threat removal going and Ion Storm wich also gets counters of necroplasm.

STP removes the token from the game, so yes. EE and PK destroy...so indestructible kinda ignores that, no token loss on Marit Lage. "Bounce" kills it too.
I personally think that Counterbalance does not belong in this deck. Inconsistent CCs will kill you.

Actually, that's one of the strengths of the deck, it can still play magic through the CB wall, so yes, I'd take out CBtop and run more combo enablers/ protection/ disruption, etc.
EDIT: I'd like to see someone Swords Marit Lage through a Orim's Chant (i.e. consider Chant as your protection).

If marit lage would catch swords than the 20 lifegain should buy some time to get a new threat up.
I like the idea of Chant, and acces to humility sems a nice plus sice it doesn't affect counters put on creatures after resolving.
I've been working out a 4-color build wich I still need to test. This is what it looks like atm:
4 Power Conduit
3 Braid of Fire
2 Ion Storm
2 Aether Snap
2 Dark Depths
4 Tarmogoyf
2 Plaxcaster Frogling
3 Elephant Grass
2 Chrome mox
3 Birds of Paradise
4 Dark Ritual
2 Necroplasm
3 Crown of Flames
3 Ornithopter
1 Ashling the Pelgrim
2 Island
2 Forest
3 Mountain
2 Swamp
1 Tropical Island
2 Badlands
2 Taiga
3 Polluted Delta
3 Wooded Foothills
Still need to test it tho, but all help is appreciated.
And any ideas that can take tarmogoyf's place ... :)

I think I might be going into a different concept, but I read some time ago a starcitygames d4d deck consisting on energy chamber+coretapper (didnt remember power conduit, but feels a god adition to me) plus magistrate scepter+ion storm+etched oracle as bombs and pentad prism as acceleratin and artifact dumpage. Maybe adding ATOG? I dont know, I got really exited by7 the idea but never got to develop it.
Just thinking out loud, power conduit seems col with serrated biskelion.
BTW Chisei sound fine compared to snap, works as an aggro guy that has some good synergy with the deck, maybe a 3/1 split?

I'm trying a R/G/W build atm playing humility, swords, academy rector and Enlightened Tutor. In the version running black the only win condition seems to be getting marit lage in play.
I still include Dark Depths but mostly to have counters wich I can move with power conduit. And as a beatdown option I included jitte and troll ascetic, plus you can get counters on jitte without equiping it. Works nicely with humility.
I haven't been able to seriously test the deck but in the few games I've played getting humility out usually wins you games. Energy Chamber and coretapper look interesting and I'll certainly try them out. Magistrate's scepter is nice, but I think it falls in the win-more category. The counters available will mostly be used to charge jitte or creatures when humility hits.
I've thought about adding manlands but those are to humility dependant and don't really allow you to go beatdown.
Anyway here is the build:
Artifacts
4 Power Conduit
3 Jitte
Enchantments
3 Braid of Fire
2 Ion Storm
3 Humility
3 Elephant Grass
Creatures
3 Academy Rector
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Troll Ascetic
Instants
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Enlightened Tutor
3 Krosan Grip
2 Dark Depths
3 Forest
2 Mountain
3 Plains
2 Taiga
4 Savannah
2 Wooded Foothills
4 Windswept Heath
With Energy chamber and Coretapper the Dark Depths could be dropped but as said I need to test first.
There is no SB yet, but pithing needle is a given against EE and deed. Also Meddling Mage and crypts seem nice.

Wait, Meddling Mage is Blue, can the manabase support another color?
I just saw the Academy Rector and thought of Doubling Season, might be win-more, but every little thing help right?
