Hi everyone. I don't ever bother throwing out decks unless they're real... but the N&D forum is pretty dead right now, and I think that this deck is really enjoyable to play, but could use some suggestions if I'm overlooking something.

// Lands (20)
2 [SOK] Tomb of Urami
1 [SH] Volrath's Stronghold
1 [PC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
2 [ON] Bloodstained Mire
2 [ON] Polluted Delta
2 [ON] Windswept Heath
2 [ON] Flooded Strand
4 [A] Scrubland
1 [UNH] Swamp
1 [UNH] Plains
2 [TS] Flagstones of Trokair

// Acceleration
4 [MR] Chrome Mox
4 [IA] Dark Ritual

// Fuel
4 [AP] Phyrexian Arena

// Creatures
3 [CS] Jotun Grunt
4 [ON] Exalted Angel
2 [FUT] Tombstalker
1 [SC] Eternal Dragon

// Control
3 [PCT] Damnation
3 [LG] Moat
1 [ON] Words of Worship

// Disruption
3 [FE] Hymn to Tourach (1)
4 [AP] Gerrard's Verdict
4 [AP] Vindicate

Idea behind the design:

Dark Ritual (Chrome Mox less so) + Phrexian Arena (early)
Chrome Mox / Dark Ritual / Flagstones of Trokair + Tomb of Urami
Moat + Urami/Dragon/Tombstalker/Angel (Flying)
Arena + Words of Worship

Possibilities:

Augur of Skulls
Shifting the focus from control to BW aggro combo with Promise of Bunrei, Jotun Grunt, Augur of Skulls, etc.

Questions:

Is there something that Type 2's old Solar Flare decks can teach us?
How does I beat comboz?

I would prefer aimed discard above verdict.

Overall the deck indeed looks like fun to play. Whats the jotun grunt for? did I miss that?

Well, it all depends on what the focus of the deck should be... Should I focus on the Urami + Crucible + Geddon + Chrome Mox + Ritual strategies? Or should I focus on the BW "lol i r kontrol deck" strategies.

Hymn to Tourach is harder to cast than Gerrard's Verdict, even though playing double Hymn is crippling.

Swords to Plowshares could replace Damnation and another card, settling for Moat + StP + Vindicate as the creature contol. I'd probably be happy with that.

Don't you want to play Thoughtseize over Verdict anyhow, because it lets you force through the bombs? (Moat, Angel, etc). Hymn is random discard best used to complement a fast sui strategy, imo.

Desolation Angel seems solid here... I might be biased, since I love the card, but it seems like its at least as good as Tomb of Urami, although it is counterable.

She was actually supposed to be the point of the deck (Moat + Resiliency to self-Geddon), but I was worried she cost too much. Maybe I'll take things towards that focus.

Or is it better just to play Armageddon/Cataclysm + Tombstalker and get what she does out of 2 smaller cards? ... but her art is so great!

Nobody suggested Bitterblossom? I forgot about it, but it fits the deck's theme perfectly.

EDIT: I forgot about Serra Avenger too. Forget Jotun Grunt.

As for control elements, aven mindsensor is interesting: it makes opponent's fetches randomly weak which is useful with geddons.
Sometime ago I've seen a monoW aggro-control deck in the forum that used such instruments (besides the mentioned ones): Rule of Law, Oblivion Ring, Stonecloaker, Aven Riftwatcher (may be I'm wrong) with trini/chalice and equipment.
But, well, I don't really understand what do you want to do with the deck.
