since there are 2 UBw threads I started an UBg thread.

Either I would play this version OR cut the Counterbalance-Engine for Aether Vial and try to fit Standstill in it. If you do so, Mutavault would be great!

Counterbalance just don't interact with the deck itself.
You want to play Bitterblossom, Spellstutter Sprites and Scions and not Counterbalance. The other cards are just superior in most case. Counterbalance is good to play it if you have enough mana to play some tricks AND create CQ to counter with the CB.

Also Scion of Oona and Equiments doesn't seem so good.
Maybe you should play 1-2 Mistbind Clique. It's a nice better, has flash and removes Bitterblossom on low life.

You do not want to run vial... trust me.

Since you are playing faeries, they have flash anyways, meaning you will not be hurting for mana usually, as you have lots of options every turn...

You also have the additional countermagic in sprite, so the uncounterable dude arguement isn't all that hot...

Also, running standstill, you harm a MU that should be very favorable (landstill).

I agree no vial.
Can you fill the blank with more answers to fisrt turn lackey??? I think the deck is weak in this, if you are on the draw you have only force of will and it's pretty random.
Maybe vendetta? I think it doesn't exist a 1/1 U fly faerie that can block

If you want answers to Lackey, there's Ghastly Demise, Vendetta, Snuff Out, boarding blue blasts, splashing for Swords to Plowshares, or splashing red to board Rough // Tumble. 1/1s for 1 without shroud are not a great idea, because Goblins has no less than 8 ways to kill one of those before they attack.

spellstutter is only good when you have either a bitterblossom down or another faerie to go with him. I would suggest cloud of faeries because for all intents and purposes its a free faerie that makes your spellstutters more useful.

Alright, I suppose this goes here. I made T8 in an online tournament at Salvation with this; admittedly this was due in more part to my opponents playing horrible decks (some Painter thing) and getting manascrewed (Faerie & Dragon Stompy) than any strength of the deck itself. I lost the third game of my T8 match because I played like a drunk hamster with Down's syndrome; had I not played like a drunk hamster with Down's syndrome, I may or may not have won.

To antagonize people, I have decided to name the deck:

The idea is to sacrifice 1/1 Faeries and your opponents' creatures to Therapy; this does actually work great. The dream is to Intuition for three Therapies with either Bitterblosssom or Shackles out, which I didn't get to pull off.

Card evaluations --

Bitterblossom: Inconclusive. I rarely drew it (unfortunately), when I did it was often dealt with, when it wasn't the game was often over already. There was one game where I got Blossom going with multiple Therapies, and it was glorious.

Spellstutter Sprite: At times awful (i.e. you really wish it were Counterspell); at times disgusting (i.e. Counterspell with a 1/1 flier attached).

Vendilion Clique: Not bad, not great. The synergy with Therapy and Spellstutter probably isn't enough to justify it.

Vedalken Shackles: Awesome.

Engineered Explosives: Also great. At one point I really wished I had three of them to Intuition for directly. Fuck Ground Seal.

Basic lands: Tech.

Mutavault: I should have played more of this card. Powering up Spellstutter is a lot more powerful than I thought.

Pendelhaven: I should have played this card. I forgot it existed.

Mind Harness: Disgusting. More decks should play this card.
