Just throwing out an idea for a deck. I played against a green stompy deck and my opponent and I joked about building a deck around Kavu Predator's ability. Later I actually decided to try it. I proxied a deck (since I'm poor) and tried to see how it ran. I used cards like skyshroud cutter along with predator and false cure. However, as one might expect, skyshroud cutter and other such cards sucked if there wasn't a predator out or a false cure resolved. Now I have made some changes, and the deck is primarily black. The only card that is dead by itself is False Cure (Invigorate isn't the greatest by itself, but it has uses, like protecting creatures), and there are enough cards in the deck that it has synergy with so I don't think it will be a problem. Here is the deck:

4 Kavu Predator
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Dark Confidant
3 Nantuko Shade

4 False Cure
3 Invigorate
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Condemn
3 Vindicate
4 Thoughtseize
4 Hymn to Tourach

4 Polluted Delta
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Bayou
4 scrubland
4 Swamp

Card Choices:

False Cure: one of the main pieces of the deck's strategy. It makes swords and condemn on opposing goyfs/dreadnoughts very deadly. Also works well with Invigorate (especially since invigorate is free).
Invigorate: by itself, it really doesn't do much other than maybe protect Bob from a burn spell, but with predator/false cure it is amazing and not very mana intensive.
Swords to Plowshares/Condemn: Good removal that also has synergy with the deck.
Vindicate: Versatile, never dead removal.
Thoughtseize/Hymn to Tourach: best control cards in black
Kavu Predator: the other main piece of the deck, but on its own a 2/2 trample for 2 isn't too bad.
Dark Confidant: one of the best card drawing mechanisms. It will usually just be a lightning rod for removal, but then at least Predator is safe.
Nantuko Shade: When things just aren't going well, he's always a nice backup, (unless your mana screwed). All of the lands in the deck are black, so he feels right at home. Always a nice topdeck lategame.
Tarmogoyf: Oh, what the hell, everyone else is running him. The deck uses green, so it pretty much needs to be running goyf. I hate seeing this card everywhere, but alas...it is good.

I was thinking of adding dark ritual, but I am not sure what to cut. Also, the sideboard relies heavily on the meta, but it would probably have things like E. Plague, Excripate, Orim's Chant, etc.

I know the idea sounds dumb, but I think it could work. Let me know what you think.

That would be a necro, and actually, there's a lot of differences in the lists. For example, older False Cure lists play with Reverent Silences and Skyshroud Cutters. This list plays neither and it splashes white, a huge boost to the deck. The ability to deal with opposing creatures while pumping your dude is all-out fantastic.

So, I'd like to see this improved. What you could do is to add white mana sources :) Other than that, it looks rather good, nothing to add, really. How does your metagame looks like? A sideboard even consisting of Reverent Silence and stuff could do if you see Enchantress. What are this deck's weaknesses?

Oops, those Badlands should be Scrublands. My bad. But, as far as my meta goes, I see pretty much everything. Most people have multiple decks and mix it up, so it is relatively unpredictable. There is a little bit of enchantress so reverent silence might not be bad, but what else is it useful for, maybe stax?.

There is some storm combo, and the occasional belcher, and the hand destruction + chants from the board should help with that. Goblins show up too, so E. plague is there. Extirpate is good for combo, thresh and several other things. The rest of my meta is pretty variable, there is usually some control (either landstill or It's the Fear), random aggro, Breakfast and such.

What I am most worried about are wastelands (they are everywhere in my meta) and Back to Basics/Moon effects. I noticed dragon stompy and red stax gaining popularity in my area too, which worries me. Pithing needle can help against wasteland, but I don't know what to do about the latter.

After some testing, I have found that these changes help the deck a lot:

- 3 Nantuko Shade
+ 2 tombstalker
+ 1 Land (probably windswept heath)

Tombstalker gets around counterbalance, chalice, and deed. All of these are problems for the deck. Also, he is useful when facing mass land destruction, as he can be played with basic swamps and removing lost land (unless they were excripated). He has bad synergy with Tarmogoyf and Dark Confidant, but those factors are overridden by his usefulness.

Aether Vial is good for getting around Wasteland and Moon/B2B. I'd also change your mana base around. Something like:

4 Swamp
3 Bayou
3 Scrubland
1 Forest
1 Plains
3 Windswept Heath
3 Bloodstained Mire
2 Polluted Delta

This will help you even more against Moon/B2B while giving you six fetchable basics that can't be Wasted.
