The deck started as a standard combo elves with Glimpse of nature and Collective Unconscious as card advantage that allowed to draw your entire deck, Concordant Crossroads and Vitalize to make obscene amount of mana and then Living Wish for the win.
New cards were printed and the deck gained some new stuff.
Here's a list, now including blue:
// Lands
4 [US] Forest (3)
3 [ON] Windswept Heath
3 [ON] Wooded Foothills
4 [U] Tropical Island
// Creatures
4 [VI] Quirion Ranger
4 [ON] Birchlore Rangers
4 [DIS] Coiling Oracle
4 [US] Priest of Titania
4 [IA] Fyndhorn Elves
4 [R] Llanowar Elves
4 [SC] Wirewood Symbiote
3 [LRW] Imperious Perfect
// Spells
4 [CHK] Glimpse of Nature
2 [CH] Concordant Crossroads
3 [JU] Living Wish
3 [SH] Intruder Alarm
3 [MOR] Distant Melody
// Sideboard
SB: 1 [LRW] Imperious Perfect
SB: 1 [9E] Viridian Shaman
SB: 1 [ON] Kamahl, Fist of Krosa
SB: 1 [MM] Cinder Elemental
SB: 1 The new Stomphowler?
SB: 1-4 Elvish Champion?
SB: X Krosan Grips
Wins:
1- Beat down with a bunch of elves and pumped by Pefect. Stall the ground/save attacking dudes with Symbiote.
2- Intruder Alarm + Imperious perfect + a mana making elf (titania,llanowar, findhorn or birchlore) = Make infinite Elf Warrior Tokens, and probably infinite mana, if you like it.
3- Draw your deck and living wish for Kamahl or Cinder Elemental with crossroads in play.
Card choices:
14 lands: Maybe it's too much, I suck at manabases. It may also possible to includesome number of Gaea's Cradles instead of lands or a 1 of in the SB.
Quirion Ranger: good with Priests and against wasteland. Extremely good when drawing your deck. A disputable slot though.
Birchlore Ranger: It helps in making Blue mana, and it's the only source of red mana for cinder elemental.
Coiling Oracle: card advantage and a nice card advantage/blocking machine with Symbiote out.
Priest of titania: allows the "play your entire deck" part.
Findhorn + Llanowar elves: Part of the Alarm combo and speed bump in early turns.
Wirewood Symbiote: untaps titania / Perfect. Provide blocking with another creature. Saves your dudes from spot removal. Makes card advantage with Oracle. Saves you from Jitte shenanigans.
Imperious Perfect: Comboes with Intruder Alarm, pumps your entire deck, makes blockers, saves your dudes from Plague.
Glimpse of Nature: it's rarely less than a sorcery Ancestral Recall, it allows to draw your deck. It also have sinergy with Symbiote.
Concordant crossroads: it allows the win on the turn you're comboing off (whether with the alarm combo or with Cinder Elemental/Kamahl)
Living Wish: fetches utility, finishers and part of the combo (Perfect).
Intruder Alarm: Needed for the combos. It's also good against AggroControl because you have a much greater number of critters and Symbiote.
Distant Melody: it draws your deck. If it doesn't it means you're already losing.
Matchups:
Note this is just speculation made wth random mws opponents.
Against control the deck is good. Wrath effects are bad for you, but you have a lot of cards to make card advantage and the opponent has to disrupt different combos.
Against aggro-control. Black decks are usually good matchups, as are thresh like decks, as long as they don't resolve a counterbalnce (preside). UGr Canadian is a horrible matchup.
Aggro. It depends on how much removal do they pack. It's usually on your side if they got almost no removal (affinity) and on their side if they got plenty of it (RG tarmoburn, goblins with sharpshooter, edicts, gempalms)
Yeah, it's another elf deck. Discuss.
