Where do legacy, casual and multiplayer mtg players in downtown Chicago hang out?

I'm moving to Chicago soon.

Wondering where people play near downtown.

I really enjoy hanging out at cardshops where people frequently play formats such as Emperor, five color, multiplayer and such.

Thank you for any help and suggestions.

If you could give enough info that I could google it, that would be awesome.

Well I used to have a group of like 7 guys who used to play alot, but 5 of them lost interest (mostly due to cost and video games). So I have created a group to help network Chicago Legacy players. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/legacychicago I just created it today (7/25/08) so there probably won't be anything happening until membership picks up. Hopefully this post will accelerate the membership of the group.

There's legacy played every Monday night at college of DuPage. There's about 20 people who show up.

I live in the city on the north side (in Lakeview), and would be down to play some Vintage, Legacy, T4, and Cube whenever.

yeah I live in the suburbs but would come to the city for sure. college of dupage is a great place there are good prize support and always a good turnout. the only place in the city I know about is evil squirel comics and they are new and mostly type 2.

Both of you guys should join the yahoo group.

Currently, the only store where magic players play is pasttimes, which is about a 30 minute drive away from Lincoln Park.

Unfortunately, while they get around 40 players, very few of them play either Multiplayer, The Cube or Legacy. And not being able to play either Emperor, or Legacy or The Cube or any of the actual fun formats sucks. :(

So on the yahoo group (already has 6 members), we're trying to agree on a store (there's a couple near Lincoln Park) where we could all meet up and get a regular legacy/multiplayer/cube group going, possibly on Wednesday afternoon, or Sunday afternoon or some other time that's not Friday Night so that we can still continue to play in regular FNMs.
