With the Best Creatures Ever (besides Goyf) forum doing very well i thought it was time to discuss the best spells ever.
This will be the forum to discuss which burn is the best burn, what spells have rocked the game and what should make it into your final 60.
I'll start with the best burn spell
MAGMA JET!!!
Nuff said.

Is this like a test? If so, Yawgmoth's Will. I will get a 4.0 in this.

Yawgmoth's Will, Memory Jar, Yawgmoth's Bargain, Tinker, Necropotence. Easily.

I guess it depends on if you're talking about Legacy or Vintage. Vintage has the majority of the really broken ones.
Contract from below has all of them beat though. It's pure unbridled power.

I would have to say the pre Alpha Time Walk which read "Your opponent loses his next turn". When read in a certain manner, this card is the broken incarnate.

Yep, good thing they printed a fixed version (http://magiccards.info/sok/en/84.html).

Puhh... That still gives your opponent till the end of your turn to win the game.
Tarmogoyf is still waaaaay more broken. When opponents see Goyf, they straight up scoop right then and there, no need to wait till the end of the turn. :p
P.S: Lightning Bolt >> Magma Jet easily imho. If anything M. Jet is overrated. Scry 2 many times doesn't even help you at all. Yet with M. Jet, you always spend twice as mana to do just 2/3rds as much damage.

I'm pretty sure that was the playtest text, not the text that made it to print in alpha.

Was my wording of "pre Alpha" not clear?

What's next? Best lands ever?
Contract from Below. Seriously, I think I still have my playset from when I rocked the casual tables of my high school.
The ante doesn't even matter: resolving that spell should win you the game, and it used to be at least a pseudo-mulligan for when you got those shit hands with 1 black source.

Best thread ever?
Nope.
Seriously. More development, more focus, more detail. Make a more developed, more specific thread if you really want to discuss this.
