[Deck] Vial Merfolk

Hello Community,

I thought it's a good idea to introduce a more or less "new" deck - in a known archetype.
What I mean is: Merfolk, to use in a Fish-Shell.

Just look:

SB: 3 [CH] Tormod's Crypt
SB: 3 [10E] Pithing Needle
SB: 2 [BOK] Umezawa's Jitte


This way you've got Manadenial and Counter, paired with good creatures. Usually you can kill Turn 6-7; if not, you control the match. :)

Did you test the Deck balanced instead of the Mana-Denial Plan?

Oh yes, I didn't see this.
Well, I actually think that this list isn't optimized. :D

I didn't test it balanced, but I don't think that this is the way to go. You can be proactive and disrupt your opponent; so you don't need a Counterbalance. Actually it would slow the deck, I think.

Hey geestyler, if you want to go that way (aggro) you should definately add Tidal Courier (merfolk ringleader), and probably cut Brainstorm.

Hightower's list is insane. Been testing with it and it's certainly viable and, in my humble opinion, even established-worthy. Will be playing it in a couple of weeks in a local Legacy tournament. I'll probably write a full report then.
