Besides being countered, is there any way for my opponent to get rid of Efreet from the field even if I always keep 2 mana up for it's ability?

Well they could have a spell with split second that kills it, like Sudden Death or Sudden Shock, or they could have 2 removal spells and respond to you phasing it out with another removal spell. But with a lot of blue mana Efreet is very hard to kill.

Engineered Plague on Rainbows.
You had me so excited for a second, thinking there was actually a creature out there with the creature type "Rainbow".
Shame on you.

I was just about to start a thread: "Say you work at Wizards and were tasked with designing a creature type Rainbow to trump Tarmogoyf and make everyone happy including IBA to the point where he is just satisfied winning an argument, and doesn't need to insult people too."
And now you ruined it.

And now you ruined it.
Seriously.
Also, you tossers forgot Sands of Time. This is why none of you will ever amount to anything in life.
