Fifth Ann. Source playmats

I am making 10 playmats for the 5th ann. tournament and am wondering if I can get some opinions on what you would like to see on the playmat. I will be having the name of the 2 stores that sponsored the playmats, whom have a big stake in Legacy in Western MA and the source logo in the middle (Thanks Zilla) Do you want to see art or should I leave it plain, let me know. I will unvail the design at Off the Walls yourney next week.

Put the "THE SOURCE" banner on it and then include stuff around it like Anwar being sexy or just good cards in Legacy.

What I was thinkingof was like the Waterbury tournaments mats with 3 pieces of art in the middle and the logo. If I am only making 10, do I need permissionj to use artwork from a card?

I think it should just have (very very) small logos for the two shops and the the Source banner from the top of the page (perhaps with more updated cards behind it, like Goyf instead of Angel and Brainstorm over Fact) in the middle, with some just blank room around the edge for massive amounts of Source signatures.

Why not leave it one colored with a large "The Source" (in allcaps) Logo in the middle and fill all letters with card pictures in a single color. "The" with land pictures and every letter of "Source" with one card of the different colors and an artifact like:

T - City of Brass
H - Wasteland
E - Gemstone Mine

S - Swords
O - Brainstorm
U - Dark Ritual
R - Bolt
C - Goyf
E - Needle

Regardless of my suggestion I would keep it simple and 1-3 colored.

Agreed.
The best spots for the shop-logos would probably be in the middle of the left and right sides of the playmat, such as that the logos are parallel to those the borders. Alternatively you could also position them in the top left and top right corners of the mat.

I'm against this: the Source logo should stay as it is - it's the Source logo after all as it is.

This really sounds like the best option so far to me - lots of room for personalization and not too complicated to produce (?).
With regards to the Source colours, the mat should probably be dark blue too, with black logos.

We should collect some ideas (best with sketches) and open a poll somewhere.
