Instead of splashing colors for creature removal and additional utility, can threshold decks splash a dreadnought? I mean, by using Dreadnought as an additional threat, do we even need creature removal? Which creatures are we scared of? Here's a sample decklist:

3 Flooded Strand
3 Wooded Foothills
4 Tropical Island
4 Wasteland
2 Island
1 Forest
1 Volcanic Island

4 Tarmogoyf
4 Nimble Mongoose
4 Phyrexian Dreadnought

4 Spell Snare
4 Daze
4 Force of Will
4 Stifle
1 Trickbind

4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
3 Predict
2 Engineered Explosives

I am by no means a Threshold genius, but I simply thought that this idea was pretty good. It gives us a wasteland mana base that's also pretty stable, and since we have a basic forest and a basic island, we can blow up blood moon and/or magus with EE.

Dreadnought might be a dead card by itself, but with eleven cantrips and five stifle effects, it's pretty doable. Dreadnought is also a tool against one of threshold's wort matchups: Ichorid. Play it, put it into your graveyard, remove bridge. In other matchups, it's instant one card filler for reaching threshold or just a +2/+2 to tarmogoyf. Actually, even though it seems dead on its own, it's pretty good. I know we all know this, I'd just like to point it out.

With one volcanic island, we have some sideboarding possibilities. Pyroclasm to enhance Ichorid matchup, red elemental blast for more countering or even as a weapon under a Painter's Servant effect. Lightning Bolt is also a posssibility, of course. We can also sideboard CounterTop.

Usually, i don't bother with Threshold decks as I don't have neither Tarmogoyfs nor FoWs, but I might like to invest some time and money on it. Therefore, I don't know if this idea has already been tried. If so, let me know. If not, then is this idea doable?

I'd play 3 blue fetches and 3 wooded foothills instead. the foothills can fetch the volc, trops, and more importantly the basic forest, which you have no means to get with only blue fetches, although it can't get the basic islands. I'd also play a couple more stifle effects, and less predicts

Lepp regularly plays ThreshNought in AL/GA. I'll see if I can get him to post some commentary on his list and how well it runs.

Yeah for sure, I'll edit the mana base in the opening post.

The Dreadnought would fit better in a black NQG version or a baseeruption shell, like Confidant, MM and Thoughtseize, without the goose.

Can you prove this?

Ya i've been toying around with adding dreads to u/g thresh replacing werebears. Unfortunately I've not played much this summer, and I'm still experimenting with it.

So far it does ok, originally I went with a tempo style build with wastelands and no counter/top. It really didn't work very well. I usually go up against 2 different survival decks. One of which is welder survival, which owns the deck. Also resolved chalice of 1 just took 8 threats from deck.

In a rush right now, but I hope to be able to play more in the coming month.
