So, I continue my saga of looking at portal cards, and, behold, I have used this with moderate success in a SB against aggro in... Burn...

Thing is, 2W, instant, deals, say, 8 damage? It will do at least 4 damage on average, and I have killed many people with 'swing for 9, you are at 8', and i'm 'oops, no, Harsh Justice, GG'.

Possible option? Seems very good depending on the situation. Can make or break certain games.

Oracle is really tech.

Anyway, i'd consider it in some mono-w control builds, SB against aggro.

According to the rules on the card, you cant even play it at sorcery speed.

Portal didnt have Instants, so this, and the Counterspell I can\'t remember the name of, were printed as Sorceries, but have been errataed to Instants.

I\'m not sure if the card really has promise, unless you have been able to deal a lot of damage to them before playing it, but it seems unlikely to do much if you have enough control to have them low enough to want win the game with it.

I suppose in Rw Burn it could be an ok sideboard card against aggro, but it seems a bit risky, compared to more utility in the board, which could make or break games more often.

I was just confused as to why the card was originally printed sorcery. As for the card I think that it a very nice find although I personally think it is a bit situational.

There are no instants (or interrupts) in Portal.

It pwns any suicide deck obviously. With increasing popularity of The Rock and Eva Green in my meta, this certainly seems viable. Obvious problem is they have to deal damage to you for this card to be effective. Reminds me of Eye for an eye (http://magiccards.info/4e/en/275.html) though.
