2 Underground Sea
1 Tundra
1 Scrubland
1 Tropical Island

4 Street Wraith

Spells [40]
4 Doomsday
1 Infernal Contract
1 Second Sunrise
1 Conjurer's Bauble

4 Mystical Tutor
4 Brainstorm
3 Ponder
4 Dark Ritual

Some FT combination most likely.

Doomsday makes you go off t2. t2 is damn fast. Try the list out guys, and offer some suggestions.

Obvious question first: what makes this deck better than Fetchland Tendrils?

Scenario A: Opponent plays Pithing Needle (on Sensei's Divining Top [FT] / Conjurer's Bauble [this])
FT: Preboard as well as postboard - 3 options: either remove Needle or go off via IGG or go off using a Doomsday stack that doesn't use SDT.
This: Preboard - dead. Postboard - remove Needle.

Scenario B: Opponent plays Extirpate on some kind of combo piece.
FT: Preboard, if it's Tendrils, probably lose. Postboard, you've either sided in an alternative win condition or Death Wish or Burning Wish. If any other card is Extirpated - no need to care.
This: Preboard - if it's Second Sunrise, Grapeshot or Conjurer's Bauble, you're dead. How do you plan to set up your board to prevent this?

Scenario C: Opponent starts game 2 with a Leyline of the Void or Tormod's Crypt in play.
FT: Either remove Leyline/Crypt or go off with a Doomsday stack not incorporating IGG.
This: Remove Leyline/Crypt.

Seems much more vulnerable to me.

Don't think it's better than the latest lists of Fetchland Tendrils, since you have to dedicate some slots for useless cards just to setup with Doomsday. The newest list also kills with Doomsday, but just with more protection/consistency/resistance for hate.

I suggest asking emidln or various people from the stormboards on their lists, because right now FT is very customizable, and you have to find the one that's more suited to your playing style.

@Brehn:

For Scenario A: I don't think that anybody at all plays MD P.Needle.

Scenario B: I think this one is much harder for this deck to withstand than FT, though you can board in Sieze' and Xantid Swarm to stop that really. It is easier for us to be Extirpated out of the sky, but I don't see it bieng a huge part of the meta, and to cards like Crypt, blah blah, Pithing Needle becomes your friend. I think both decks have a pretty even hatred for the cards.

For sake of arguement, what turn does FT fish at?

Edit: You can also go a route that isn't hit by gy hate at all, Doomsday for

Brainstorm
LED
Helm
SDT
Grapeshot

It requires two cards in hand, and STD in play, but yeah, dodges all hate geared to Ichorid.

You really should see the latest list that emidln wrote on mtgsalvation, here is a link, it comes with a very good primer.

Your list basically looks like an untuned FT list, since you still play with about 3-4 totally useless cards, i.e. 1 Second Sunrise, 1 Conjurer's Bauble, 1 Grapeshot, 1 Predict. It comes with less protection and less consistency than FT, and if you really want to improve your deck you'll see that eventually, you'll end up in some sort of FT build that eschews the Second Sunrise package for a flexible Tendrils package.

See, now that is a good Doomsday list.

I was wanting to not run the Grapeshot package, because well, in some cases it is really weak. But, running 4 Doomsday is the way to go I believe. It is just such a strong card.

Grapeshot is good. Second Sunrise, Predict, and Conjurer's Bauble are not.

Edit: Why do all Doomsday deck designers forget Sensei's Divining Top and Meditate? This boggles my mind.

Double Edit: My latest list goldfishes turn 2-3. You could make it fish faster, but I prefer playing 8-10 protection spells.

I think the lack of Wraith is just killing you though. Wraith is SO powerful in Doomsday, and it's not forgetting Meditate, it's just that the decklist space is tight and that you sometimes just want that or a Infernal Conflict.

Anyhow, I love the sideboard. It's kind of like Ichorid, just board in different answers, although I'd like to see some Confidants there.

And yes, I realized upon just looking at DDay that 4 was the way to go, unless you are going to wish for it. That card is retarted good.

Anyhow, the new list:

Lands [17]
4 Polluted Delta
4 Flooded Strand
1 Island
1 Swamp
1 Underground Sea
1 Tundra
1 Tropical Island
1 Volcanic Island
1 Scrubland

Creatures [2]
2 Street Wraith

Spells [41]
4 Doomsday
1 Ill-Gotten Gains
1 Meditate
1 Tendrils of Agony
4 Dark Ritual
2 Cabal Ritual
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
1 Lotus Petal
4 Mystical Tutor
4 Brainstorm
3 Ponder
3 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Orim's Chant
3 Duress
1 Thoughtsieze
1 Wipeaway

SB [15]
Sideboard:

I strongly recommend cutting 1 Orim's Chant, 1 Thoughtseize, and 1 Cabal Ritual for 1 Sensei's Divining Top, 1 Cruel Bargain, 1 Duress. You will regret playing Thoughtseize and not playing Cruel Bargain/Infernal Contract. You play both because they are for entirely different situations.

Edit: Your list is very similar to white_ghost's list found here http://emidln.googlepages.com/lists

Going down to Cabal seems risky, and yes to Thoughtsieze, but as weird as this sounds, I only have access to 3 Duress and it's working out fine for now.

Another Top might do it, they are always nice. Another draw4 might be cool too, but it needs testing. Chant is just incredible.

This last list should be discussed in the FT thread. That thread is not only for emidln's lists and techs, you know? You can discuss strategies and ask for help there.
