Jitte/seething song

If I only have one creature on the table and a Jitte that is equipped to that creature , would I be able to sink mana from a seething song into the jitte to reequip the jitte to the same creature?

The reason I want to know is so that i can try to get hellbent without mana burning myself.

Yes, you can activate the Equip ability multiple times. It only doesn't work with stuff like Lightning Greaves, which (once attached) make the Equipped creature an illegal target for any new future activations.

Of course, since you pay :2: at a time, you'll need another mana after Seething Song or you'll still burn for 1 from the leftover mana.

Not to mention the equip cost on Greaves is zero, so if you had multiple creatures out to move it back and forth from, you still couldn't sink any mana into it (unless something like Suppression Field was out).

Thanks a lot, I knew you could not do that with lightning greaves but I was not sure why.
