From the Vault: Dragons as a collectible

I managed to pick up the only 2 available copies of FtV: Dragons, before anyone realized my local store had it. I'm considering not opening them (seeing as I don't play reanimator) and saving them as collectibles. Does anyone think this is worth it? If it makes any difference, I got them at 35 bucks a piece.

They go for $100 at SCG; they usually go for about $60 in general I believe. So yeah, good investment :cool:

You might as well hold onto them. I'm about 99.99% certain there's no way short of Magic crashing or WotC COMPLETELY backing out on their word to keep it a LE (limited edition) run, that the cards will drop to less than the MSRP, at absolute minimum.

Also, one came in just the presentation box, not the white, outermost box. I opened that one, as it wasn't sealed on the outside, and oogled the contents a bit. The other one came with that white box it was shipped in, and is completely untouched. All packs are still sealed, which I think is what matters most. And the snazzy d20's are intact.

That's normal. I got mine in the white outer box and popped it to oogle the dragons through the window when I noticed there is no seal on the package. It's got a magnetic lock on the back that holds the flap closed, and if you pull out the tray you can get the insert easily. You can even separate the plastic form (again, not sealed) to get the d20 if you want it. Only the three packs of five dragons are sealed.

Yeah it's the d20. Notice theyr'e in order, so you can just 'spin down' the d20 from 20, 19, 18 etc.
