This is a UB reanimator deck that I've been working on. I've been playing a UGw Threshold deck for awhile and have enjoyed the speed and efficiency of its draw engine. Reanimator decks have been an interest of mine but the ones I've played have been far too slow to develop and too vulnerable to disruption. I figured I should combine the draw and control aspects of the threshold deck with the cheap and fast creature development of the reanimator. The result is a very fast and consistent reanimator with enough counter magic to defend against most threats to its single-minded goal: Get an Akroma into play as quickly as possible and defend it long enough to finish the opponent. Hellkites are added as removal and finishers.

v3.1 - I initially used Entomb but I replaced them with Intuition after finding out that they are banned. Intuition is a better card anyway since it can dig for anything, not just creatures. I also replaced Predict with Careful Study since careful study has more synergy with the goal of this deck and is less situational than Predict.

This deck has a light land count of only 16. This is more than sufficient, however, given the extremely low mana curve and abundance of draw.

//Mana Curve
1 - 24
2 - 4
3 - 8

Daze and FoW aren't counted because they will almost never be hardcast.

Once Akroma is in play the counters should only be used to deal with immediate threats to her. Everything else should be ignored.

There's probably no point telling you how much superior it is to overwhelm an opponent (as Rod's list does) when playing reanimator than it is to try to be cute (cute folds a lot quicker to extirpate, that's for sure!). So I won't, as no one ever convinces anyone of anything on the internet.

4x buried alive and 4x intuition is just too much and too slow to even think about, especially since I'm guessing the buried alive is making you waste slots on dark rituals -- land really is better when it comes to mulligans and playing against actual other decks that like, you know, do stuff to you.

I would cut the Buried Alives and port over a trick from type 2 by using Raven's Crime as another way to discard creatures out of your hand. If you Intution for 3 faties, you're gonna end up with one in your hand. If you Intuition for 2 fatties and Raven's Crime, you can always retrace the Raven's Crime to get the fatty out of your hand.

Here's a hint: when your first thread is locked for being redundant and you are politely told to use the already existing thread, DO NOT IGNORE THOSE INSTRUCTIONS AND MAKE ANOTHER THREAD BY COPY/PASTING THE ONE THAT WAS LOCKED.
