Prerelease Shards of Alara
. This is CSGS first prerelease. Hope you can join the fun and help support CSGS for future top events. The better the turn out for this event will help us get things like States,Grand Prix trials, and other major events. We need as much support as we can get. This will help all of the Birmingham area bring larger events closer to you. Saving you money, time and gas. It is to your advantage to support CSGS for future big events. We can seat over 100 players, so there's plenty of room for all.
OK, since most of you do not know or may know, spots for all prereleases are limited. This is for all stores having prereleases everywhere. No matter what store you choose. Wizards is doing a test run and only send out limited supplies for this prerelease everywhere. CSGS has added multiple events just in case you don't get a spot for prerelease or if you want to play in more than 1 event. Looks like we will have 48 spots available for Shards Prerelease, first 24 will get prerelease foil. More events available same day.
So, I have put this Tournament schedule together available to all.
Sample prizes: Foil Mutivault, Cash, Shards boosters ( available to pick up 10-2-08), DCI Foils, Free entry to Shards Launch Party, ect. More prizes than any other events in this area. Entry fees cover the product and extra prizes given out. Many door prizes given out all day.
8am-9am Free pancake breakfast for players pre-registered for any event for 9-27-08
10am - Booster Draft <1 shadowmoor-1 morningtide-1 eventide> (no player limit) $15 entry
1pm - Junior Type 2 (13 & under) store cash credit prize (no player limit) $5 entry
4pm - Prerelease for Shards (limited spots) $30 entry
6pm - Booster Draft <1 shadowmoor-1 morningtide-1 eventide> (no player limit) $15 entry
10pm - Type 2 (no player limit) $6 entry
8pm - Munchkin Tournament (free event (just a fun goofy game)
All tournaments will be sanctioned events.
This will be a full day of Magic Tournaments. Don't miss out. This is a great time to bring your trade binders and have a blast with all the other local players from this area.
