Extended rotation?

[Mulletus]

I might travel for a little extended tournament this weekend. What sets will be legal on 10/4/08?

Onsalaught Block
Mirrodin Block
Kamigawa Block
Ravnica Block
Timespiral block
Coldsnap
Lorwyn Block
8th-10th Edition

but a new set is legal that day... Alara. Does that change stuff?

Or maybe someone can explain when the rotation is so I don't have to worry about the deck the I build.

Herbig forgot Shards, but I think he got everything else. The format rotates on 10/3, Shards's release date.

(I just noticed the bottom part says 10/20 - that's an oversight, the release of the new set is when things rotate, per the Magic Floor Rules.)
