This is a deck involving gelectrode and quirion dryad that goldfishes turn 4-5.

Land:
4 Polluted Delta
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Volcanic Island
2 Tropical Island
1 Taiga
1 Island

Creatures:
4 Gelectrode
4 Quirion Dryad

Spells:
4 Force of Will
4 Daze
4 Ponder
4 Brainstorm
4 Serum Visions
4 Fire/Ice
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Lava Dart
2 Chain Lightning
2 Curiosity

This deck basically cantrips into one of its eight creatures, plays the creature, then goes insane. The 2 Curiosities are for Gelectrode. Basically, if you get that combo, you win the game.

The Beaters:

Gelectrode- he's awesome because he doesn't require the attack step, and thus you can leave him untapped at the end of your turn. He's beast against creatures and really gets powerful with curiosity. His possible substitute here could be wee dragonauts, but they require you to play out your hand during your main phase and can't take care of utility creatures.

Quirion Dryad- she's awesome in that she's very easy to grow in this deck. There are 12 cantrips and 8 free counterspells, so chaining cantrips is very easy. The fire/ice and burn spells are for removing and/or tapping down blockers and swinging in with the dryad. The deck can also win by just burning the opponent out, which is nice as well. Her substitute could be goyf, but he will simply never be as big as she will.

Some problems with the deck:

Chalice. This really is a kick in the balls. 8 free counters help, but I was wondering whether or not to run some possible maindeck solutions.

Counterbalance- this isn't as much of a problem as it would seem, because if you land a turn 2 or 3 dryad you should be fine. Gelectrode is also untouched. It's sometimes hard to play against but not undoable at all.

Nonbasic Hate- this is another pain in the ass. We really need at least 3 lands to function, and with wastes and blood moons it becomes really tough.

Number of cantrips: I'm not sure on this number; I'm positive there should be at least 4 BS and 4 Ponder, but all cantrips after those initial 8 seem very lackluster. I was thinking maybe 4x repeal to deal with problematic permanents while still cantripping- problem is, it doesn't deal with chalice.

Sideboard:

I have none. Any suggestions on how to deal with some of the problematic things for the deck? Vexing shusher? Shattering spree? Blasts of both colors? K-grip?

Any questions or comments or suggestions are much appreciated.

Please don't do this. If people want to respond they will. If not, then your thread falls into the blackhole that is N&D page 2.
