Echo costs + banneret

If i have a bosk banneret (treefolk and shaman spells cost 1 less to play) in play and i play a cradle guard (1GG Echo treefolk) does the echo cost remain 1gg or is it just GG?

It would remain 1GG. Echo is now its own cost rather then a mimic of the casting cost.

Anyways... Banneret only lowers treefolk/shaman spells...

Echo is an ability, and not a spell...

Therefore ----> it has no effect on the echo cost and you will either have to pay the echo, or lose your dude.
