I just noticed a new poll for "favorite format" on wizard's website. Just go to the Daily MTG section, it's on the right of the page.

I remember Legacy making a good performance last time such a vote was held, let's make an even better one !

Here's the direct link to the webpage for the lasiest of you ; ) : http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Default.aspx

Amagad! We should get this stickied and get haxx on that so hopefully Wizards gives Legacy some more love.

Edit: I couldn't find the vote. Damnit I suck...even more.

Edit2: Oh it's a little thing in the bottom-right corner.

Edit3: I think it's just a gimmick, Wizards probably isn't going to do anything with it...pfff...I got excited for nothing for 3 minutes! I want them back! I just want my life back, man!

What, do they need to run this once per month or something?

Just until they get the answer they want.

I'm expressing my individuality and distaste for the options presented (as well as how lazy I am) by not voting. Take that, America! I mean... take that, Legacy!

No matter what happens, some idiot who interprets the results will say "Well, Legacy won our poll with twice the votes of Standard. I'll bet most of the people who voted are just casual players who want to play with old cards."

Just like they did when vintage won the last poll, and they said that the poll was probably mostly just casual players who wanted to play SquirrelCraft combo.

That's just their way of saying Standard makes them more money.
Voted legacy ofc :)

Until you read the poll and notice that casual has its own button.

Clicking a button means you can talk?

Edit- And if they are blind, how will they know that we won?

So who won? I can't find the results on that mess of a page, and the place that had the poll is empty now :\

Standard won. But the results aren't up yet, you'll be able to find them here (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Archive.aspx?tag=poll,results&mode=all) once they go live.

They're still not up? I wonder what's taking them so long :( I'd really like to see the results.

They probably got a result they didn't want and are thus thinking of how to rig the poll to give them their desired results.

I.E. Standard didn't win by a landslide and Legacy and/or Vintage probably beat out Extended.

how exactly do you know that standard won if the results aren't posted yet?

It happens when there's vote rigging.

I know Standard won because I know the crowd that commonly reads MTG.com; vast majority of them are relatively new players playing in small circles without real exposure to Legacy, Vintage or any other interesting format - they'll vote for Standard since that's all they know.

still doesn't change the fact that the vote's results could possibly surprise you...

Let us all hope that isn't the case...

I've never been surprised by the results of MTG.com polls. They're invariably disappointing. Standard is the only disappointing option, after all, so that's what'll win.

I wouldn't be surprised if it does win... it probably does have the largest player base of all of the formats with the possible exception of Limited. I am far more interested in what comes in second and third places... not what comes in first place.

I have a feeling the formats will place something like this:

1. Standard
2. Limited
3. Extended / Block / Vintage / Legacy
4. Casual

or something after that style...
