I've recently started playing UWg Counter Sliver, and am questioning Swords to Plowshares in the deck because of Crib Swap. My question is simple.

I resolve a Crystalline Sliver early. My opponent plays a threat. If I Crib Swap it, can the Crib Swap be countered?

The rules interaction, in my opinion, seems hazy at best on this since Crystalline Sliver gives all Slivers Shroud, and Crib Swap is a Sliver in all zones of play (due to Changeling).

Is it essentially uncounterable, or does Crystalline only apply to in-play Slivers?

"Slivers" exist only in play. Everywhere else they're Sliver cards or (on the stack) Sliver spells. Since only Slivers and not Sliver Spells get shroud, your Crib Swap still can be targeted.

Try Root Sliver instead.
