I didn't find any good Nether Void threads, so here's a new one. Mods, feel free to move this if you know a better place.
4th out out of 88 (http://www.deckcheck.net/deck.php?id=21755)
4 Nantuko Shade
4 Diabolic Edict
4 Sinkhole
3 Rain of Tears
1 Icequake
4 Pox
4 Sphere of Resistance
4 Nether Void
4 Dark Ritual
4 Chrome Mox
4 Wasteland
4 Rishadan Port
4 Mishra's Factory
12 Swamp
SB: 4 Leyline of the Void
SB: 4 Dystopia
SB: 4 Engineered Plague
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
Looks pretty... interesting. 32(!) mana sources, 28 cards which deny your opponent mana, 0 Smallpox, 0 Trinisphere, 0 dedicated discard. At first glance, Urborg seems like it would be pretty useful, and Tombstalker sounds like a better win condition than Shade (especially without Urborg...), but what do I know.

Well, if you can slip a Nether Void on any deck it pretty much crushes them from any hope. I guess I can see how it could get up there by lucking out on decks where it could get it off. That does look evil being able to first turn a Nether Void though.
LD really doesn't seem all that horrible with all the light mana bases right now anyway. I seem to notice that every deck that comes out is even lighter on mana that it used to be since it's rare to have to worry about Sinkholes followed by any other LD. I think Team America, one of the newer ones, is only running 7 lands overall that actually make a color.

I love Nether Void Decks! The kill condition you want is Demi God of Revenge - It can't be countered and will come into play even if you don't pay the Nether Void triggered ability. Same for Blurred Mongoose. There was another thread around here someplace that gave the details on that. Don't know for sure how it will work with Sphere of Resistance. Dark Ritual is always problematic with NV - great to help accelerate into one, but completely dead once the NV is in play. I guess it could be pitched to Chrome Mox. I would consider replacing either the Dark Rits or the Sphere's with something like Iron Maiden for a little extra pressure. I really miss Black Vise (not to mention Strip Mine!) Might also want to look at Acient Tomb and/or City of Traitors. I agree the new Urborg is a must, and if you can spare the $$$, Tabernacle at Pendrell is a house!

What? You're joking, surely the first one would get countered
let me check the Gatherer rulings: -
* 01/05/2008 If Demigod of Revenge is countered *before* its triggered ability resolves, the ability will still resolve. In fact, it will return that Demigod of Revenge from your graveyard to play, as well as any others.
OMG - that's REALLY good with Nether Void, I think I may build this deck.
I also noticed a new BG deck knicking about on another thread; called Team America. let me check: -
Team America - Ubg aggro control

Yep, that's it.
I think from this thread and that one; there's all the bones of the deck now; I post again when I have a list. I *was* going to build a BG version with Aether Vials, but I realised that the meta in the UK was going to work against that idea due to every blue and white deck running Chalice
Since there has been a rise in WHITE STAX here in the UK; We now have to play against the following problems: -
(1) a Turn 1 Chalice set to [1]
(2) Mana Acceleration
(3) Armeggeddon Effects
