Mike Flores does his Worlds post-mortem, which includes the Top 4 Legacy decks. Nothing earth-shattering, but it's nice to see Legacy decks presented with clear appreciation to the Mothership's readers. Also, aspiring writers, take note: this is how you hype a deck in three sentences.

I like how in the VT he wants to call Dreadstill Dreadnoughtstoppable, like Legacy players use silly names like that.
Right, gotta go resleeve my Cephalid Breakfast deck.

I very much enjoyed his enthusiasm for Geddon Stax, considering it was Team Japan's albatross.

Wow, they really don't pay attention to Legacy if Mike Flores is drooling over a deck that is almost three years old (nothing against Flores, I love reading his stuff). And it was funny to read the surprise in his words when he said that White Stax was synergistic. Almost like it just happened.
Conversely, if we keep getting coverage and the pros keep liking what they're playing, Legacy could expand. Just maybe.
As a side note, it was funny listening to Cheon trying to explain why Echoing Truth was in the sideboard.

Hey, Green-Blue-Black Tempo Control made top 4! I love Green-Blue-Black Tempo Control! It has such a catchy name, it just rolls of the tongue! Green-Blue-Black Tempo Control definitely deserved to be in the top 4.

Better than BDM and Buehler referring to it as "The Legacy Rock," no?

Yeah, but Dreadnoughtstoppable edged it out in the top 8.

This was how the deck was called in its earlier versions, since it didn't use Stifle nor Trickbind to counter Nought's trigger. It used Time Stop.

This is true. At least the name is more accurate than they had it. I guess it's just that we've known about TA for a long time now, but as far as the general Magic playing (and article writing) community is concerned, this is something completely new. So when they don't have the name for it, it just seems weird.
And he totally missed a golden opportunity to make a pun about how Team Australia was playing against Team America, with Team America.

Steve Sadin made that joke in the official coverage writeup (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/eventcoverage/worlds08/tfinal3).

I hate pet deck names and I'm sure neither Flores, BDM or most of the coverage staff have ever heard of "Team America" and would thus never be able to put the joke together. :)
I don't want to start the "deck names war again," but could you imagine if every thread about a deck in the DTB, N&D and Established had some nonsensical, stupid-ass name as it title? It would suck. If a name sticks so be it.

Then don't.
And no, it wouldn't.
Unless you're OCD.

This is one of those topics where we'll need to agree to disagree.

Team america is a movie.
One time I farted on the set of blue lagoon.
I think it actually would be a hot idea if we got one of the UL article writers to send a few emails around (I'm looking at you Anwar), and get a feedback article together with some of the creators/contributors of the archtypes that hit the top 4 legacy decks at worlds: Nitewolf and Dave for TA, Rodney for Dreadstill, maybe Machinus or some of the other contriubtors to White Stax, and Volt or one of our European breatheren who pilot AL a lot.... Get together some questions and answers as almost a Deck tech for each one, like: why it's named TA, what the echoing truths are for in the Dreadstill sideboard, some conceptions as to why the stax list ran E-tutor even though it's clearly counter-intuitive, etc...
I think that could be a pretty good article that, while obviously not really in depth and necessarily a Must-Read for a Legacy regular, would give good exposure of the format, decks, and designers to the outside populace and the Pros who may need to prepare for event such as Worlds.
But then again, maybe that's just me.
Edit: Seriously though, doesn't have to be Anwar. I just saw he was reading the thread. Any of the UL writers could do this and I'm sure it would actually be a pretty good article for any of you.

You mean, kind of like this?

I haven't done any follow up because of a large amount of schoolwork + college apps. I do want to continue the series. Rodney and Dan, I'm looking at you guys.
Actually, very similar to that, yeah. It would have to be a bit more compact due to the size restrictions (as I'd really want to see this up on StarCity), but I would love to see something along those lines with the people who have created or heavily contributed to the decks in Legacy to give us a bit more exposure as players and designers.

The line "one time I farted on the set of Blue Lagoon" is not from Team America ... its from South Park: the Movie.

I know that. It was not my intention to quote Team America. The phrase just sort of summed up my feelings on the argument above.
I suppose it was a little confusing to use a quote from a movie by the same guys, but I will be more careful in the future as to not cause ambiguity. Or I'll provide a .gif of Tarence (or was it Philip?) slapping Brooke Shields.
