When I first saw the card Apocalypse, I thought it was bad ass. I mean, Wipe the board CLEAN but you get nothing for yourself either. But we now have ways around that.

Lands
4 Sandstone Needle
4 Remote Farm
4 Crystal Vein
4 Peat Bog
4 Undiscovered Paradise

Creatures
2 Lost Auramancers
4 Academy Rector

Spells
4 Lotus Petal
3 Chrome Mox
1 Mox Diamond
4 Peace Talks
4 Barren Glory
3 Diabolic Intent
3 Apocalypse
4 Cabal Therapy
4 Burning Wish
4 Oblivion Ring

Sideboard
SB: 1 Diabolic Intent
SB: 1 Apocalypse
SB: 1 Recoup
SB: 1 Innocent Blood
SB: 1 Balancing Act
SB: 1 Obliterate
SB: 1 Overmaster

The Auramancers are expendable, so don't take them(or this thread) seriously.

The premise, obviously, is to drop Barren Glory, remove with Oblivion Ring, then wipe out everything with Apocalypse. In theory, it's sound, in practicality, nothing could be harder to do. The Diabolic Intent and Academy Rector makes me giggle though, sac and grab glory, and grab other piece of the pie. Apocalypse does have some fun interaction with the parallax enchantments, or Ghostway, but :r::r::r: is a real kick in the nuts. Well, with the next red rituals, I guess that shouldn't be that hard, right?:really:

And I'm sure some of you will have to look up some of those lands, hehehe...

There is nothing quite like a 3 card combo. Especially one with a aggregate casting cost of 14, and vulnerable to countermagic and enchantment destruction every step of the way.

That minor problem aside, this really is a cool concept. It must be a lot of fun to play. Just as long as you don't show up at a legacy tournament with any expectation of cracking into Day 2.

This makes me feel like breaking out my Illusions + Donate deck again. Atleast that was a two card combo, both parts in blue, a color very easy to protect and win with.

Nihil wrote some very good things. Some of them and some others:
1) you need alternative win-con. (don't know if Barren Glory remains after some discussion, but let it be so now). Greater gargadon seems quite qood here since he's good with board-cleaning and enables Glory if needed.
2) you need some early disrution. What about chalice? Chant is also interestin, but I don't see any big point for it.
3) you don't need auramancers. They don't fetch you what you want unless they're sac.ed for vanishing. That said, diabolic intent also becomes crappy because with 4 creatures it's rediculous.
4) costs of the cards that are central it the idea need acceleration. I think that Seething Song is good here. Then, Form of the Dragon and Enduring Ideal come to my mind. Ok, I'll stop not to flood with rash ideas.
