Wow, no kidding. What a letdown for the Northwest. Sad.

Great. Toronto and Rochester are back to back... Would have been nice if they were on different weekends (it's about a 4 and a half hour drive thanks to it being at least an hour to get across the border).

this sucks. Am i right that Rochester is the closest one to MA?
What i dont get is that i've seen threads on here for others like one in the Netherlands or something, why isnt that on the list? Is it possible this isnt the whole list or could more be added maybe?

Ooohhh sorry. Didn't realize there was a GPT Czar with +1 thread starting authority. While you're at it, could you please make sure WotC advertises the appropriate times and prize support for each event. K thx.
Yeah I realize that's a little trollish but come on, it seems like you're attempting to invalidate the other threads while proclaiming yourself the master of such things. I personally think its really cool that each of those who started threads about their GPT are excited enough to do so. Not to mention the fact that name recognition is a huge part of advertising to a target audience. I'd rather bookmark a location specific thread.

Last time I went across the border, which couldn't have been more than a year ago, it took 5 mins to get across the border both ways. Pretty sure I've made Rochester -> Toronto in two hours.

Heh. In that case, are you up for driving too and from? I'm down for going into Lam and Cappy's home turf to try and mise 3 byes.

LOL. My objective was more more innocent then that. I just didn't want 20+ threads clogging up the front page while other big events got pushed out into oblivion since mods don't always sticky things. Point taken though.

Remember it's in the smaller satellite city of Oshawa (where unemployment is shit high because that's where the big GM plant is).
Incidentally since the TOs in the GTA don't seem to care about conflicts there is a Legacy tournament for a Mox Ruby 5 minutes walk away from the GPT and announced to start one hour later. If the second tournament doesn't get changed it's going to be so dumb.

This is so silly. I hope they fix this.

Haha. I don't think I will be there, already have my byes.

I'm going to post Marv's tournament on mtgontario and bump Cyril's and see what happens.

I would be willing to make the trip, but I have no use for byes and as such it would be hard to persuade me to be the one to drive. I bet there's enough of people from Rochester, Cuse, etc that would want to go though.
