Just letting you know that I've got a weekly on SCG now, every Wednesday. I'm a lot more able to talk about specific things like matchup analysis and such, so if you'd ever like to see something covered, let me know!

I'm happy SCG has decided to do more Legacy coverage and I'm excited that I'm able to help out with it.

I guess I'm posting less to get accolades for the article and more to invite ideas and discussion, so if you want to see something discussed before GP: Chicago, then speak up!

quote from article:
During your turn, that player will cast an end-step Brainstorm, hoping to shuffle away their cards with their fetchland. Wait until they have broken their Flooded Strand and then activate your fetchland, getting it in while they have no mana.
(on Stifle)

This won't happen if you are playing a good player, they can EOT Brainstorm and then untap and shuffle in their ukeep, keeping mana open for Stifle.

Not only do they keep up mana for stifle, against ANT they let you up their storm count by cracking fetches on their own turn.

Good article. I'll be playing all three of those cards for the first time at Chicago(Legacy newb, I know) , so every tidbit helps me. I look forward to more leading up to the Grand Prix!

Thanks, Doug. This was a good refresher for those who are used to the plays, and a good summary for those who haven't had them come up just yet.

What is your opinion on the 1cc situational counters? Specifically, what do you think of Annul, at least in the current meta? Is it worth bringing in if your opponent is only playing 4 Standstill, 4 Vial/Deed/EE, possibly Divining Top, and maybe 2-3 other artifacts/enchantments?

Cool article. Maybe a little heavy on the "About Me," but you tied it together, sorta. ;)

Regardless, this is off to a good start. Congrats!

Yeah, that certainly isn't going to be a trend, I felt like I had to have some intro that tells you a little bit about me though. I certainly didn't want it any longer!
