Hey all,

I'm entirely new to the Extended Meta, and I was looking into T.E.P.S (The Extended Perfect Storm) as a deck to play in extended. I have quite a bit of experience with Legacy storm combo, but obviously none when it comes to Extended.

I've noticed that there are three versions of the deck, Pyromancer's Swath w/ Grapeshot, Mind's Desire w/ Tendrils, and ADN w/ Tendrils. And I was curious which one of the three is most consistent. Also, I've noticed that a few run counter spells in the main deck for protection, but I was also curious to know how prevalent counter magic is in the Extended Meta, and if it was worth the maindeck protection at the sacrifice of speed?

If someone with experience with the deck variants could share some insight, it would be very helpful.

Thanks

The best and most consistant version is the R/U storm that lsv won with in L.A. I was playing that and the only changes from his list I dropped 1 slight of hand and 1 land and ran 2 gigadrowse mb which worked very well. The deck fires consistantly but I stopped playing desire after the past ptq I desired for 10 and failed :-/.
Swath/Shot combo is not very great since you draw swath and its useless and if you get the combo you are always a little short and then they play something to lock you out ie. hand destruction or some short term clock.
As for Ad nauseum its only good and I say good loosely as a board card for Deathcloud since if you dont go off by turn 3 latest your hand is gone due to ravens crime. Adn will refill your hand but you will hit desire to lose 6 which can be lame especially if you were already lower on life. Lmk if you have any more questions but like I said, I switched decks now since even if you play it perfectly, the deck is based on luck to win. But gl, hopefully it will work better for you.
