Finn's interview of Daniel Signiorini. I guess this is the only interview we get for this GP.
GP: Chicago approaches, my friends. Still looking for your Legacy deck? Peer into some of the recent tech from one of the designers at the forefront of the Legacy scene.

It's alot about what Dan has already done. I knew that. I was hoping he would shed some light upon the future of Legacy, as the article is called 'What Next'.
It's a fun and smooth read though, I found it entertaining .

I dunno, I don't think it gave an accurate picture of what the field is going to look like and what people need to be prepared for. I'm a huge fan of TA, I think it's a great deck. I'm not a huge fan of nitewolf's thoughts on the expected field. I think NO-->Prog is going to be in more decks than he's giving it credit for, and while it is a terrible combo, it's more scary than people are giving it credit for. It kind of reminds me of way back in the day in T2 when everyone and their mother was running Memory Lapse and Predict. ZOMG, it's so good, you draw 2 cards and mill the lapsed spell off the top!!! Except Predict blew ass, and Memory Lapse was pretty terrible too. Didn't stop a shit ton of people from playing it and, as is to be expected when something shows up in force like that, doing well with it. Initially, I didn't think any NO-->Prog decks would make day 2, now I think that there are going to be enough there that at least a few will lucksack in. The fad will die in a few months, but at this GP, I think it's important to be prepared for it. I've gone to 3 edicts and 2 plows in my landstill because I think Prog is scarier than Lackey. Plus, I'd feel less inclined to commit sepuku after losing to Gobbos.

Gosh, this is unfortunate.
Overall it was pretty good. I enjoy Dan's insight, wether ironic or actual.
Zach, I love writing articles for Salvation. But a few years ago they changed the width of the article page. That is, the writer's forum for fine-tuning your article has a different width than the actual article will have on publication. So everything slides around and this sort of thing happens. It hurts my eyes to look at that. You have no idea. I have to find out if anyone over there knows a trick.
@Skeggi, "What Next..." is the name of the series. Petri dish did not past the rest of the name. "...Disruptive Contenders of the Wolf" Most of my non-interview articles are about just that - the future of Legacy. Sometimes I am right. Sometimes not.

Around the time they went to the different article size, they also removed the ability of writers to edit their own articles. Finn can request the mods there to fix it, but he can't do it himself.

It was a good read. None of the info was earth-shattering, but whatever. It was interesting. Could have used moar David Gearheart though.

Formatted fine for me. Firefox @ 1440x900.

I had the same thing Zach Tartell has on my iPhone, not sure what the resolution is on that thing though.
That said, wasn't there an interview with Dan Signori on Team America already? I had the feeling I already read everything in this article in that interview so I mean the news value was kind of low. An amusing read though, nothing more for me.

I agree on the "nothing earth shattering" side of this article, but I thought it would be going to a different audience and there are only so many ways to dissect the deck. I think Finn's questions were pretty good and I hope at least a few people got something out of it.
I also think it might be interesting to get David's side of the story at some point, and also to interview Dave Caplan about red thrash as the strategies are very similar (he already wrote a primer but I think he'd be pretty interesting to interview). Especially with his recent GP success.

So what does everyone think is really next for Legacy? More and more blue aggro-control domination? I would really like to see the format shift one way or another. Personally I like control, so I would like to see a shift in that direction, but I don't know.
I predict more of the same.
