GENERAL INFO:

-this is now the third of what has become a recurring monthly or bi-monthly legacy tournament series at Dream Wizards. Our last event had 40 players and brought out some of the best legacy gurus in the D.C. / VA area.

-although Legacy ratings now count toward composite rating, we are more interested in trying to get new players involved in the format who may not own some of the more expensive dual lands, etc. This is the reasoning behind the 10 proxy structure. I hope to poll players at our event to see if this is something we should continue to employ for future events. Although it'd be nice to ween players off of proxies at some point, I think in the interest of promoting the format in the surrounding area it may be economically necessary

-all proxies must be printed cleanly on a basic land card with a permanent marker and must include all relevant card text

-current or former certified judges will be on hand to answer rulings questions

Hope to see everyone there. Come on out and support a great and obviously popular (I'm talking to you Wizards) format!

*P.S.* Congrats to Kevin K., James B., and other locals for some great Day 2 performances at the GP!

Less than a week away! We've had a healthy, diverse metagame and great attendance the past two tournaments. With GP Chicago now in the books, it'll be interesting to see if any new archetypes and strategies rise to the top!

Top 8:

Me (4 color counter top) vs PT junk
Ewokslayer(elf survival) vs The mighty Quinn
BW deadguyish deck vs U/R Painter
Anwar(Eva Green) vs CounterTop Deck similar to Nassif's

Top 4:

Me vs Ewokslayer
Anwar vs BW deadguyish deck

Top 2:
Ewokslayer vs BW deadguyish deck

First: Ewokslayer

They TO said he would post the lists for the top 8.

Also there were 27 people that showed up.

I think Anwar played against a CounterTop Deck similar to Nassif's

There wasn't goblins in the top 8

Ewok crushed face with lol elf survival.

Was there any doubt?

Lol elf survival is just what I call the deck.

Was there any doubt?

That's correct, it was basically Nassif's list with a 1 or 2 card difference.

Hi all! I played Undead Guy and and my first round of the top eight was a U/R Painter's servant deck with red elemental blasts, pyroblasts, and the regular blue counter magic setup.

You are they guy that played the deadguyish deck, the one that made top 4?

Thanks again to all those who came out to Legacy battle last Sunday. We had 27 players total and a diverse top 8 with some very innovative takes on Counter-Top. Lists are posted in the appropriate thread. Our next event will likely be early-mid May, once Alara Reborn is legal for play. Stay tuned!

I finished 9th with affinity, missing top 8 due to 3 things going wrong. Goblins finished 10th.

I played against Ewokslayer round 3, game 1 was a blowout due to turn 3 Progenitus. Game 2 I landed a Plague and some pressure, but it wasn't enough, and he had enough time to set up Anger/Priest/lots of Elves. I also didn't get Pithing Needles.

I posted my list in the Vial Affinity thread.

I think The Rock is a better description for Paul's deck, rather than PT Junk. It had the fairly standard Rock suite: Deed, Goyf, Therapy, Thoughtseize, Vindicate, Birds...

@Archivist - April plz, Legacy is the nuts

Hopefully nitewolf can make it next time.
