Mindslaver:
6 Colorless CC Legendary Artifact
4 Colorless - Tap - Sacrifice Mindslaver and take target player's turn for them.
I've always liked this card a lot which would explain why I have a few foils of it, but I was curious if anyone has had a deck built around it and used it effectively. It has obvious synergy with Tezzeret, Bringer of the White Dawn and Goblin Welder.
Has anyone used this thing yet, other then in Vintage?

Well... take all the ways to get mindslaver into play in vintage and then take them away. It is very easily hated and the lock is too hard to maintain or costs too much mana keep the lock going.

Too Slow, I think and mostly uncastable without some trick from the graveyard. In Vintage, Tinker, Moxen and mana drain can easily put it into play. That and they can play Goblin Welder since the format has almost no creature removal

Even if it wasn't slow, Mindslaver just doesn't do enough in Legacy. Most decks in Legacy win with the combat step. If you get a quick activation of slaver, all you really do is timewalk. In Vintage, though, a single activation of slaver can easily win you the game since it's so easy to wreck their plans and render their game useless.

I used it in a deck back when the format was switched over from 1.5 to Legacy to some sucess using Bringer and Welder, but the comments are right on.... It's very slow and doesn't do anything spectacular with your opponents turn. Plus with Krosan Grip being all over the format, it's very hard to securely use this card without having 10 mana on the table.

Yeah, I kind of assumed the same thing... It does seem really slow in Legacy, but I was considering it in some sort of Imperial Painter/Dragon Stompy shell?

Obviously, we also lack the mana accelerants like the Lotus, Moxen, Mana Crypt, Sol Ring and so on and so forth.

I'm quite sure this doesn't work. Both of these decks heavily rely on Blood Moon effects. For Slaverlock, you need Academy Ruins.

Not necessarily. You can also manage a Slaverlock with: Crucible of Worlds, Goblin Welder, any artifact land, and Slaver... You would be able to achieve this with Imperial Recruiter, or the Blood Moon effects, fit in some protection for your creatures... but again, it's less than efficient.
So yes, Academy Ruins is most likely a better choice, but at the same time, you're also running 12 mana a turn there. Unless you're going 8-post or Tron, that's not exactly likely.

Krosan Grip might pose a problem too. In Legacy, it's in too many sideboards. In some cases even maindeck.

Krosan Grip poses the same threat to Slaver as it does to Pernicious Deed. The thing is, you can still play it and pop it without priority passing to them before it's effect is already on the stack.

Except that slaver requires ten mana to do that. Ten mana would blow a deed for seven, which I'm sure nobody needs to do in Legacy.
Even if Mindslaver was faster in this format, it just doesn't do enough considering the investment.
