Hi I am wondering as to whether or not foil cards with signatures of them increases a cards value or decreases its value. The cards that have signature on them are foil and are in near mint condition.
A friend of mine told me that their value drops since the card is now considered "marked" however I spoke with other people and they value their signed cards more as it is a collector's item now. I have a binder of foil signed cards, but some people that collects too claims that those cards now aren't worth crap since they've been marked.
So out of curiousity are foil and signed cards of value or really do decreased in value? Thank you.

They're worth pretty much the same. Some people (like me) like their cards signed for novelty value while some others consider them damaged. But in the end, you're still shelling out €20 for a polluted delta, signed or not.
It depends really. I'd say most people who appreciate foils generally appreciate signed as well (being collectors/pimps).

Hmm okay, that makes me feel a little better then. Coz I have a collector's binder just full of signed foils, well for collecting porposes. However, a few people that looked at my binder just said that the cards are considered damaged and aren't worth much (though I value them quite alot).

It really depends what they are and who's sig is on them.
Signed by pro-players/wannabe-pros? Damaged.
Signed by Richard Garfield? It can go either way.
Signed by the artist? AH! Now we're getting somewhere.
Some artists have terrible signatures and therefore are less desirable. Adam Rex (Decree of Justice) and Rob Alexander (fetches, duals) are good examples of this.
While, some artists have astounding signature skills, such as Quinton Hoover (Wrath of God/Hymn) and Aleksi Briclot (Thoughtseize).
Also! Some artists are dead, and there stuff is usually worth some sort of premium if signed, like Tim Hildebrandt (Brain Freeze) and Glen Angus (Tangle Wire)

To Impress people or try to make quick bucks on EBay it is worth the funds.
If you're just going to play with them, then I'd rather have the non-foil copies and not bother shelling out all that funding for the sparkels.
More or less it depends on which market you are in the world.
BTW: RK Post has the most intresting Sig of all (RK on a sign Post).

Yes the foiled cards in my binder are all signed only by the artists. As for Adam Rex, can't say I agree. I have 4 foil cranial plating with his signature and its not bad.
However, other signatures i've had from other artists are indeed kinda bad.
