I was seeking help on developing this deck. I've originally posted it at mtgsalvation but it received little enthusiam, so im seeking help here for it to flourish.
I've copy and pasted what i posted at the other side. hopefully I'll recieve help from you guys:
no, this has nothing to do with phoenixes
originally the deck was called 'comprehensive guide to moderne rebellion'. it used to be a deck that abuses Lin Sivvi's recruit ability to flash rebels in play.
In light of trying to break her, I've encountered something more meaningful. Ultimately, I did not need her but used her inferior comrades as my deck engine.
Here is the decklist:
OPERATION PHOENIX
LANDS:
8 Plains
4 Flooded Strand
3 City of Traitors
3 Flagstones of Trokair
CREATURES:
4 Weathered Wayfarer
4 Ramosian Sergeant
4 Knight of the Holy Nimbus
3 Steadfast Guard
3 Whipcorder
2 Dunerider Outlaw
SUPPORT:
4 Orim's Chant
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Enlightened Tutor
3 Path to Exile
3 Abeyance
3 Scroll Rack
2 Cataclysm
The basis of the deck is to use Scroll Rack's ability and abuse it with Sarge's and Wayfarer's ability.
By doing this, you can filter your hand with Chants or removals and send your rebels back to your library.
Tutors are there to search scroll rack or as an emergency shuffler.
The win condition of the deck is to deny your opponent of doing anything with the help of Chant. I am also getting ready with the upcoming M10 set (Silence would be an auto-include on this deck)
If any of you have any good suggestion on making this deck better, please feel free to add.
Other suggestions from the other side included:
Tithes
abandoning the rebel course and add white weenie
Armageddons and Wrath of Gods
