Pretty cool I think, but I still prefer the golden oldie... but hey, if you're a Foil nut, I guess this isn't half-bad .

That is awesome! I like this way more than the old one.
What is this strange tentacle brain Maze of Ith.

Not exactly new; it's been on Salvation for a month and I think there was even already a thread about it here.

Maze + another foil are likely the PT Honolulu judge foils.

Yeah, I saw the thread on Salvation. I haven't seen a thread here though. Any idea what the other card is?

I always envisioned "Maze of Ith" as a confusion effect, rather than a literal maze. i.e. Getting lost in the corridors of the mind, or some such.

Volt, it's a land. It sorta has to be a physical place I think. Pretty much anything would be better than the original art on this one.

Yeah, I realize the card type is inconsistent, but I still think of it as being sort of a spell cast over the mind, rather than a physical place. I'm basing this on what I know about the back story and the character of Ith (http://magiccards.info/ts/en/241.html).

And I like the art just fine.

I really like the art. I don't care for foils or the current card face, so I wouldn't play it over the og, but the as far as Alternate Artwork goes, thumbs up.

Nice of them to provide lamps in the maze, so you can see where you're going.

Eh, I prefer the old artwork. Not to mention the original frame is so much nicer.

That maze looks like a Dreadnought, Inkwell, or even a freaking goyf, would be able to smash right through/climb over it.

I agree, lame artwork, why add lamps, why be a physical maze, i like the original.

This is exactly why I don't like this art.
First off, when I saw that cloudy sky, I immediately began looking for the thunder that I knew had to be somewhere on the art.
To my dismay, the torches look like thunder somewhat.:frown:
Now, rather than making the perfect moody piece, wizards decided to unleash the ultimate gps system on my opponents!

You can't see thunder, dude.

Get over yourselves. That art looks awesome, and it's gonna be a hot foil.
