Unnatural Slivers

Hello,

i'm trying to build a deck based on an idea i saw while i was "surfing" the web. If you want to look this idea follow the link (http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/multiplayer/3109_How_To_Play_The_Unnatural_Sliver_Deck.html) .

The deck is supposed to destroy the opponent's threats with the Unnatural Selection/Spirit Mirror combo and kill him with slivers. You might think that running 8 sliver's isn't enough but if you change the type from reflection to sliver (when unnatural selection and mirror are in play) in your upkeep you are casting a sliver per turn. To give protection to the combo i added the synergetic top/balance as a draw and counter engine. That's pretty much it, i would like to have some suggestions to the list i describe next.

I wonder if daze and leak might be better off as straight counterspells.
The deck doesnt seems to kill all that fast so those 2 will become irrelevant pretty fast.
maybe -4 leak -4 daze +4 Counterspell +1 Balance +1 Top +2 Scepter?

it's a bit clunky, as a combo.. A pithing Needle on natural selection invalidates it pretty much.. Dunno, it can be as techy as "danger of cool things" stuff..

The problem is that you've got 8 slivers, and while you can change all your reflections to slivers in your upkeep, that's a huge mana investment every turn. I'd suggest adding a Pure Reflection to the mix. You're best bet is to splash B for conspiracy, but barring that Pure Reflection seems a bit better than a 2/2.

Winged Sliver - Flying

in fact, daze and mana leak are not that great late game and i kill only late game. I'll need to try isochron and counterspell.

Maybe crystalline sliver is not that important here, so i think i'll change 2 for winged sliver.

Again, thanks for the replies. This is more like a fun deck, i know it will never be a great deck, but still i would like it to be a little more competitive.

Too bad Mirror Entity will also turn the tokens into reflections, otherwise you could simply pay 1 mana for a global Unnatural Selection.

I dunno, the idea is pretty cool. I fear however it will not escape the label of casual deck.
