Hello again! I was trying to answer my own question so I tried to look it up on-line. I came across this very helpful article: http://www.wizards.com/magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/af116. I just want to double check with you guys since you guys have been very helpful in the past.

So in case you didn't already know, Bloodbraid Elf is a ridiculous card. I was wondering what interaction it would have when you cascade in to a split card for example, Battery//Assault. So from what I understand, Battery//Assault has two converted mana costs: 1 and 4. When I cascade into it, the condition that its converted mana cost is less than the elf is satisfied by the Battery side of the card. When it comes to playing the card, I can choose to play the Assault portion to create an Elephant token. Is my logic correct?

Thanks in advance,
- Hymn

Yes, it is. Same way you can put Research/Development on an isochron scepter and make elementals/draw cards.

If you remove a split card from the game this way, check if at least one half of that split card has a converted mana cost that's less than the converted mana cost of the spell with cascade. If so, you can play either half of that split card.
