Hey, I was just brainstorming and with the new set I was wondering if people thought exalted could be somewhat playable. Here's a proposed deck list:

Creatures: 18
4 Noble Hierarch
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Qasali Pridemage
4 Aven Squire
2 Rafiq of the Many

Control: 16
4 Swords
4 Counterbalance
4 Force of will
4 Daze

Card Quality: 8
4 Brainstorm
4 Sensei's Diving Top

Mana: 18
4 Flooded Strand
4 Windswept Heath
4 Tundra
4 Tropical Island
2 Savannah

There's 14 exalted creatures and counter-top control to help against.. well everything. I like the squire for his evasion as exalted + rafiq + evasion = very nice.

It might not be the best deck out there, but I think it could play very well. The 8 card quality kinda worries me though as you might not always find the control piece you're looking for. The sideboard can be made into anything you want.

Aven Squire sucks, I would cut that guy. Probably for a set of Ponders. Otherwise it might be pretty fun to try. That's all I got.

You need Exalted Angel too.

The squire isn't that great, but I was looking for some evasion creature, and there the squire was lol. Lol exalted angel seems like it's a bit too costy even with the hierarchs. What about the lifelink guy, Rhox War Monk?

I would run few monks in main and maybe even more at SB.

T1. Land, Hierarch
T2. Land, Warmonk
T3. Land, Rafiq, Warmonk swings for 10 and you get 10 life

I don't really see any really benefits in this deck over Surviving Bant though. You can fit CB+SDT easier and more Exalted dudes, but you lose Survival engine.

I would cut Squires and maybe 1-2 Pridemages for few monks and maybe ponders. 1-2 O-rings maindeck wouldn't hurt either.

Rhox War Monk isn't exalted where Exalted Angel clearly is.

damn, your logix beat me.

I don't like the survial engine, I think cb + top is clearly superior.. clearly. If I'm playing survival I'm not gonna make a deck around attacking with one guy, it'll be more like I'm attacking with 4/5 huger guys then my opponents.

You can run survival AND the counter top engine. It's possible, I've done it. It's not too bad.
