Well this version of thezzeret is a non stack based on version, its a mono U control version of tezzeret , my main goal was to build a control mono u deck and making it work changing their win conditions (meloku morphling) by tezzeret.
Building the deck I noticed that We can add as well the engine of sensei's -counterbalance , in this way we`put up the number of artifacts , withouth loosing consistency in the early game , also proving us a way to deal with recursive objects like loam or burn . Strategys that Mono U is used to loose.

Anbother point is the lack of Back to Basics in this archetype , but I suypposed that the change from BtB to Counterbalance regarding the control matcu ups is not a really unfavourable change. getting better even the combo match ups.
Anyway they will be in the side for sure.
Having in mind all the Mono U decks I definately chose to build this deck on this archetype of mono U control :

2 Morphling
1 Oona, Queen of the Fae
4 Accumulated Knowledge
4 Brainstorm
3 Cryptic Command
4 Counterspell
3 Fact or Fiction
4 Force of Will
2 Repeal
3 Spell Snare
2 Back to Basics
3 Engineered Explosives
2 Vedalken Shackles
1 Jace Beleren
1 Academy Ruins
3 Flooded Strand
13 Island
1 Plains
3 Polluted Delta
1 Swamp
// Sideboard:
SB: 1 Back to Basics
SB: 4 Blue Elemental Blast
SB: 3 Bottle Gnomes
SB: 1 Jace Beleren
SB: 3 Propaganda
SB: 3 Tormod's Crypt

Having this archetype in mind I'll propose next one :

3 The Tezzeret
1 Jace Beleren

4 Thirst for knowledge // better tha acc, if we have so many artifacts
4 Brainstorm
//12

4 Counterspell
4 Force of Will
3 Spell Snare
4 counterbalance
//15

3 Engineered Explosives
2 Vedalken Shackles
3 Senseis d.t.
1 Masticore // I liked the idea of having + 3 more 5 costs masticore, also
//it's a great win cond. apart from Tezz

1 Nevinirral disk // I liked the idea of having + 3 more 5 costs Nevinirral
//also it's a great combination with our planeswalker and
//our unique great removal

1 Pithing needle // This card is a simply key puzzle card

//11

1 Academy Ruins // thinking of changing it to 2 count
3 Flooded Strand
9 Island
1 Plains
3 Polluted Delta
1 Swamp
4 Seat of the synod

Well, 17 number of artifacts to support both ,tezz and thirst it's quite ok including those seat of the synod.

I've been thinking in the Fact or fiction card which is a card I'd like to see in this build maybe - 1 nedle - Jace could be 2 FoF.

Regarding to the side , I'm not sure about it but could look something like this :
4 B.E.B
4 propaganda
3 Back to basics
4 Tormods

Well what do you think boys?

So what is the broken part tezzeret does? I see trinket mage or intuition doing the same but way better.

Tezz puts the card into play, and can accelerate mana with the untap. And is a win-con.

Isn't Painter-Grindstone a better way to accomplish this then?

I had considered the same idea... tezzeret is good. Unfortunately, it's only good enough to make the deck strictly better than "regular" mono blue, but still strictly worse than control that splashes a color for answers to creatures and artifacts.

Well, I suppose mono blue isn't helpless against them, but it's way too slow. Slowness is usually a good thing, but only because it is highly correlated with more powerful spells. The slightly slower deck is typically the winner, though the massively faster deck wins. However, mono blue's slow spells are slower than those of comparable lists, though equal in power perhaps.

New Updated of the deck:
2 The Tezzeret
1 Jace Beleren

2 Fact of fiction
2 Thirst for knowledge
4 Brainstorm

4 Counterspell
4 Force of Will
3 Spell Snare
4 counterbalance

3 Engineered Explosives
3 Vedalken Shackles
3 Senseis d.t.
1 Masticore
1 Nevinirral disk
1 powder Keg

2 Academy Ruins
3 Flooded Strand
12 Island
1 Plains
3 Polluted Delta
1 Swamp

About the changes :
My definately approach was about how to build the deck around a Mono U deck , because then now we can get the most of Vedalken, also we take care of our mana base,
Also I reduced the number of Tezz to 2 because 3rd is really not needed
The nedle I took out is because its clunky in many situations and we really won't need it when we play Tezz,
I also reduced the number of Thirst in favour of Fact , I noticed that Thirst is not as good because of our not so high number of artifacts
So definately our deck works as a Mono U deck but with counterbalance in and stablishing the field in a control environment until we have enough artifacts and counters on Tezz to kill the opp in a unique hit.

Another point :
this deck is really Slow, but it's true that is not for NO controil players,
alalso , a deck which is slow doesnt mean to be a bad deck , you all boys have to keep this in mind
